Has anyone read THE ECHO WIFE ,by Sarah Gailey .
Just read an interview in Good reads .
It was awesome .
But I couldn’t help but relate it to Raman’s act of surrogacy.Using Ishu’s eggs without her permission n bringing his child to this world ,all because Ishu wasn’t agreeing to his desires .
The main idea is slightly different .
A man divorces his wife as she is not wanting to start a family with him .(Her career ambitions were a hindrance to it ).But he secretly steals her research work on clones ,gets a clone of his ex- wife made n marries that clone .Ofcourse, starts a family with that clone .
Then it’s the mental turmoil between all the three .But the clone part was so similar to that surrogacy in yhm .
Couldn’t help but share this info .
If anyone can ,pl read that interview n comment on it .
This reminds me of a book I read that is pretty much the same concept as YHM. It's called "To Tame A Wild Cowboy" by Lori Wilde. It's set in Texas, USA and it's about a nurse who is a foster mom to a premature baby who marries the baby's biological dad. It's a marriage of convenience that turns into love and they have to fight for custody of the baby from the biological mother who left the baby in the hospital after she was born. The best part is that the main couple explores what their relationship would be like if the child is removed from the equation. It's an amazing read especially if you liked YHM. Although, I will warn you, it has mature content. 😉
I have a link to the book. If you'd like it, then PM me.
Sorry, double post.
Have you guys seen this trailer of a new ALT Balaji show?

It's based on a Manju Kapoor novel, just like YHM. It seems nice and refreshing unlike the usual stuff ALT dishes out. I sometimes wonder how would YHM have fared if it were made today on a digital platform like this. There wouldn't be the pressure of gaining TRPs and the show wouldn't have been dragged on the way it did.
