Yash ji only wanted SRK and waited for his recovery.

Yash Chopra wanted Aishwarya for Veer-Zaara. When SRK said no, and Preity was called in to replace Aish, Yashji still wanted Aish in the movie. He wanted her for the Rani part then, thinking that if SRK won't work with her as a love interest, he'll accept her in a secondary role. SRK said no to that too. That was on SRK because he wouldn't allow her to be in the movie in any shape or form.

Also keep in mind that KJo himself has said that before ADHM, there were 5 movies he wanted to make with Aishwarya but that casting never materialized. We know he offered KKHH's Tina role to her (a dozen other actresses were also considered or asked and all said no). Then she was first choice for Anjali in K3G but KJo felt that since Kajol was his first heroine, he had to offer it to her as a formality, expecting her to say no because of marriage but to his surprise, she said yes. So Aish was out for K3G. And Dostana was meant to star Aish and Saif but once Abhishek come onboard, Aish could not do the movie with her husband and not be romantically attached to him. So she left the film for Abhishek's sake.

That leaves 2 other films in-between K3G and Dostana which KJo would have offered to Aish. Those were clearly KHNH and KANK. Meaning both films he wanted for Aish at one point or another and clearly couldn't give to her because of SRK's ban on her.

Hah, Abhishek never had it as good as when he was first married to Aish. It was a much needed confidence boost for him and the only time he was somewhat relevant. But poor boy never had a chance. He's spent all his life being Amitabh's son or Jaya's son. Now he's only Aishwarya's husband. In a few years, he'll only be Aaradhya's father. His whole life will be him playing second fiddle to someone more important.

I doubt she's formally separated because there's footage of the latest Ambani wedding where you can see Aish, Abhishek, and Aaradhya all together. Media likes to make fake claims because divorce/separation stories are juicier.

Now even that is something bad Aish did. If she stayed and let Salman keep going berserk, you all would be claiming she's responsible for that too. She's damned if she doesn't, damned if she does. The best thing she could do was take him away from that set and he definitely wasn't going to go unless she did too. This is classic abusive behavior.

I'm thinking everyone here who judges her so harshly and claims she's at fault and provoked Salman into acting this way has clearly never been in an abusive relationship. It's not as easy as dropping them one day and cutting them out of your life completely. That's something that not even regular people so how can you do that in a small industry like Bollywood where everyone knows the other and everyone is connected. Most women who press charges against their abusive husbands or boyfriends almost always take back those charges and go back to the man. It's a cyclic pattern.

And as you pointed out, Salman started these scenes on Devdas. He was angry that Bhansali didn't cast him and jealous of SRK/Aish so he would come onto set drunk, lie around or force everyone to let him play the scenes first. Everyone had to humor him because he wouldn't let shooting go on. If you're telling me that SRK and Bhansali couldn't stop him, then why assume Aishwarya had any more handle on the situation and could stop him where these men couldn't? If Salman is the culprit here and no one was well enough equipped to stop his bad behavior, why punish Aishwarya? Why did SRK hold her responsible for Salman's actions?

This is basically victim blaming. Salman is the abusive alcoholic who comes crashing onto sets and makes scenes, but it's Aishwarya's fault. SRK has known Salman even longer than Aish did. After SRK/Kajol, SRK/Aish were the biggest pairing in Bollywood. Every major film was going towards this pairing especially now that Kajol was retired. SRK himself sabotaged that.

LOL Aish dated same criminal knowing everything. She didn't take strong action against him, despite him causing problems in her professional life. She continued dating him until he cheated on her (as she mentioned in her letter). She chose him over her work.

It's not like SRK replaced her overnight. Shooting was delayed multiple times for almost a year.

Moreover, SRK had zero responsibility towards her. She was a mature adult. it was her choice to stay with Salman. So don't play victim. You're making it sound like as if she asked for help n srk denied any .

SRK didn't want to work with her. What's the big deal? He had a problem and weren't on talking terms. He didn't ask other producers not to cast her. There were many other actors, but Yash ji couldn't afford to replace SRK, whereas Aishwarya was replaceable.

It takes two to tango hun, if Ash and Abhi separated she is as much to blame for a failed marriage. I can only imagine how insufferable she must have been and maybe it was Abhishek who was at the receiving end. Shes absolutely cringe and immature, she clearly went for the Bachan surname and learnt her lesson.
