Yes, it is very unfortunate that the match is not yet started because of intermittent rains. The ticket holders are the real losers.

Super soppers are running on the covers. The light has improved a bit. Virender Sharma, the reserve umpire, is seen having a chat with the groundsman. There's plenty of water on the covers though.

13:58 Local Time, 08:28 GMT: "It has not been raining for a long time. But the covers are still on. Doesn't seem like any play would be possible today," reckons Aayush. "We can expect some official update on today's play by around 2.30," he adds.

This time of year barish ka season

Khatam hota hai, i wonder if they have

6 day test for presidential election recently or rest day etc why they not move test at other venue on day 1,For kanpur test, they know since 9 days that first 270 ovs rain 101% possible, they could move test at other city of Utter pradesh or so.

We will not get 12 points now, we might ends with 4 point unless we scored same as Our asian Neighbour Lanka & dismiss

BD under 150.

BCCI can do anything except win or loose toss. We have to cross the Finger and belived in 3 day test.

The last time an entire day's play was washed out in a Test in India was in Bengaluru in 2015 (Ind vs SA, days 2-5) - incidentally, the last time India opted to field first in a home Test before the ongoing one in Kanpur.
