2:08 pm :Unfortunately, it's not the outcome we were hoping for, but STUMPS have been called on Day 3 as well. It's a frustrating end to another day, marking two consecutive days lost without a single ball being bowled. Despite there being no rain since early morning, the soggy outfield from the previous day's downpour ultimately led the umpires to deem it unsafe for the players to take the field. While the decision is undoubtedly the right call for player safety.

Sorry to say that on Sep 31 , we will gets 4 points only for draw on going kanpur test

Our WTC PCT 71.67 % now will be dropped to 68.18 % only

We are still number 1 but we must need to win 4 more test 2 vs NZ & 2 vs Aus in order to Qualify for WTC final on June 1-5 , 2025 at oval 3.30 pm IST ( June 6 reserve day)

I can figures out others might also not gets points so easily or aus & India are much more-

-Stronger PCT% wise than Sri Lanka or bangers

Eng lost 19 points for slow over rate which is good. From oct 9 Eng will play test in Pakistan I do not think Eng win 3/0 again

We've lost two full days in a row now. While the entire ground was under covers yesterday, that wasn't the case today. There was no rain today, at least from 8:30 AM, and all the covers were peeled off by 9:30 AM. However, the wet patches - one near the bowlers' run-up, on the outfield couldn't be dried out. Got to feel for the fans who turned out in good numbers to witness some action. Curtains down on another frustrating day. Two days remain in this Test, we've witnessed just 35 overs of play. The forecast is good and let's hope that the outfield conditions improve by tomorrow.

09:00 Local Time, 03:30 GMT -- Day 4: After two days of bad updates, let's start day 4 with some good and positive news - it is bright, the sun is out, the covers are off and the players are warming up. The super sopper are still working on some areas in the outfield. But there's a lot more positivity today than in the previous couple of days and the players who didn't even come to the ground yesterday are going through their drills is the biggest update of all. But is there enough time or overs left to get a result? We have had just 35 overs in 3 days and might get another 180-190. The onus will be on India to push the game forward if they are to consolidate their position in the WTC table. Let's see how they go about this..

Quick recap: The Test started an hour late due to overnight rain and wet outfield. Rohit won the toss and surprised most by opting to bowl, his reason being the wicket is soft and there might be some assistance for the three India pacers. Bangladesh's openers started cautiously and mananged to see off Bumrah and Siraj's first spell, but Akash Deep struck in his first over and followed it by picking Shadman as well. Shanto and Mominul steadied the innings and added a 50+ stand but Ashwin set up the Bangladesh skipper beautifully before trapping him LBW. Mominul has looked good and Mushfiqur is giving him company. Then there was no play on day 2 and day 3 due to a combination of rain and poor drainage system at Kanpur.

Bumrah: Weather is something you're not in control of. Have to quickly adjust, use your experience. You start communicating with the others as well about the pitch and the lines and lengths. For me my favourite format is the Test format. I've said it before as well that I wanted to play this format and I'm doing that now. Good to get some overs under the belt and build up those overs. Number of overs we bowl in Australia will be a lot more.

Bumrah to Mushfiqur, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! A complete misjudgement from Mushfiqur and he pays the price. More than this delivery it was the previous delivery that put doubts in his mind. This too was a nip-backer but the length was fuller, Mushfiqur had a tentative prod at the previous one and this time decides to leave, the ball goes on to hit the top of off-stump. Finally some reward for India after beating the bat numerous times this morning. Mushfiqur b Bumrah 11(32) [4s-2]
