Siva: "Arshdeep has bowled too many bad balls already as he did in the 1st ODI. With he being strictly one dimensional in skill he needs to display consistency and add more skills in his bow rather than just look for swing all the time" -- He's actually bowled well if you've watched closely. If you're a left-arm swing bowler looking to go full, the odd drive ball or the occasional one that swings down the leg side are occupational hazards.

Mxpa : "Surprise omission if Mohamed Shiraz ..definitely should have provided another chance to prove long waited young lad..these are the one side critics and conflicts among fans of SL "

Uwaisul Karnain: "@Mxpa: Shiraz's exclusion has more to do with the pitch conditions as well as balancing the 11 with Wanindu's absence."

Mendis given out caught behind. Interesting he takes so long to discuss with his partner to review this. That was miles away from the bat

Vinod Rajpal: "Hey Karthik, can we call this a hat-trick between teams as the last 2 wickets were of Dube and Arshdeep Singh taken by SriLankan bowler in the last ODI played on 2nd August!" -- By all means, even if the record books don't have room for that sort of thing!

Kusal Mendis NOT out

11.3

Axar to Kusal Mendis, no run, it was a very late call from umpire Paul Reiffel to raise the finger but the batter missed this by a mile. Kusal was shocked when the ump said OUT, Axar gestured he didn't hear anything. KL wasn't overly excited, just gently threw the ball up in the air more in disappointment that it didn't take the edge.
