Official forms are like that. First Name Middle Name Surname. If Jaya Bacchan is the name it will be entered as Jaya Amitabh Bacchan unless she specifies it as Jaya Bhaduri Bacchan. Or Jaya Taroon Bhaduri...(Her father's name and surname)
You can always choose to keep middle name blank.
But you get all those options only if you fill the form yourself or the person filling the form for you takes time to ask you if it needs to be blank or filled and filled with what
She most likely never really read the form, someone else filled it for her and she signed at the end like most people do.
Jaya would have kept it blank if she knew or used Bhaduri there....
The speaker on his part just blindly read through it. It was not his duty to take effort to realise that a self made person like Jaya Bhaduri may have changed it to Bacchan as was the norm when she married but being addressed as Jaya Amitabh Bacchan when it was completely unnecessary to do so, might still hurt her.
However for once I like she reacted this way in the parliament and that it has become viral. Atleast now the whoever reads names will be a bit more conscious about this.
Jaya Bacchan is not an unknown person, simply addressing her as Jaya Bacchan was just as easy.
It's a lesson for every one. Read every form that you sign and take efforts to know how people prefer being addressed as.
