This tune was composed by S.D. Burman for Guru Dutt's 'Baharein phir bhi aayegi', then he suffered a heart attack and was replaced by O.P. Nayyar.
The movie itself was supposed to star Guru Dutt but was shelved due to his untimely death, and then remade with Dharmendra. Burmanda then used the tune for Navketan's Jewel Thief.
This song sounds really different but equally enjoyable in Rafi's incomparable voice

Anyways, here's another Burman da song which I remember I heard it in a radio program many years ago and since then it has been one of my favorite songs. I do feel this could be a lesser known or not so popular song too in today's era.

.This is a beautiful song from Bade dil wala. I remember hearing this one on radio very frequently. The movie itself it a gender-bent version of a very popular 60s hit Film, Kati Patang starring Asha Parekh and Rajesh Khanna. Rishi Kapoor plays Asha Parekh's role, swapping identities with the son-in-law of the family who he meets by chance and who dies in an unfortunate accident. Kati Patang has the same storyline with Asha Parekh being the one to assume to false identity of the family's widow.

Not sure if anyone here has seen the movie, 99 Songs, by AR Rahman. He composed the music too. There's one song that really stood out to me and gave me chills when it played towards the end of the movie.
Sharing it here cuz I don't think the album got the recognition it deserved — just look at the low view count on YT and the lack of discussion on this forum. For what it's worth, the male lead won the award for best male debut that year.
