The way he spoke his mind.. about how J might have claimed her rights as his wife etc.. he has clearly accepted his wedding now.. he is just waiting for her to be successful now.

Rewatched the episode. I strongly feel that Ani brought up the wedding topic to distract Jhanak. He is openly supporting her and making arrangements to rent an apartment.. he is in no mood to listen to anyone.. even Shubho realized that and agreed for her to stay.. and bam! he diverts the topic, Jhanak is stumped, Ani’s mission accomplished.. hence the smirk
