Chapter 193

The two Emperors started their journey to Meluha with their families. Virochana was sent to prison and Sujata was given lifetime imprisonment despite Avantika pleading again and again for her release. Avantika was not let by Bhadradev to meet her mother and it mentally broke her. Bhadradev told her it was Sujata's punishment to not see Avantika's face again. She vowed revenge on Vasantmitra.

They all halted to a place in night ......it was raining....

Prithvi in his room was remembering his times with Vasantmitra and he remembered the night where he fought with Vasantmitra when she rejected his secret marriage proposal. He thought- I wish I knew she was a princess, I would have married her that very night and declare her my Mukhya Maharani. I wouldn't have to marry Kamla and Avantika then and I would have lived peacefully with my beloved. Kamla is no problem for me but Avantika and now this revelation totally changed the dynamics. How can I even look at Avantika now. Its so weird for me. Oh I wish everything was revealed before.

He thought- I must convince Prarthna to leave for Durgpura with our son, never to enter in life of Prithvi and Vasantmitra. My meddling can reveal my truth to Prithvi and he will be heartbroken. I don't want to be like Maharaj Samudrasena, I won't be keeping eye on Vasantmitra's life anymore. She is capable of handling her life herself. It will be so out of my stature, dignity and morals. My work is done. But....but...he started crying.......Why does it hurt? Why? He wiped his tears and said- Time heals every pain, this surely will pass. Kamla got the message in night that Maharaj Bhadradev was coming along with Prithvi and was ordered to arrange for a grand feast. She found it very weird as the Empires had a long history of enmity but she didn't give it much thought.

Kamla started doing preparations...

Vasantmitra- Kamla, you are managing everything alone that too in such a delicate condition, come on, let me help.

Kamla- Nope, you will only do rest and play with your son.

Vasantmitra- But, I wanna help.

Kamla smiled- I thought you wanted to leave.

They both started doing work while Vasantmitra's son was with her trusted maid who was always by her side as Vasantmitra didn't feel safe after Prarthna tried to harm her and her son.

The caravan came in evening....Prithvi along with Bhadradev came to the palace gates. Kamla was there to grandly welcome them. Bhadradev wanted to ask for Vasantmitra but he didn't as the people still didn't know she was his daughter.

Kamla- You are very warmly welcomed Maharaj Bhadradev. I am sorry, where is your queen? She looked at Avantika who looked stressed, angry with dark circles and heartbroken. Kamla was shocked to see Avantika like that. She said- I thought Maharani Sujata would be with you.

Bhadradev shouted- Don't take name of that traitor. Arti thali fell from her hand due to shock and fear.

Prithvi- Calm Yourself Maharaj......

Bhadradev- I am sorry Kamla, I got carried away.

Bhadradev entered the palace........ As soon as he entered he said- Where is Vasantmitra? I want to meet her. Where is she?

Kamla angry- Maharaj, I am sorry, but this behaviour I won't tolerate even from my guest. As a woman, I don't like you asking for someone else's wife that too so shamelessly.

Samagra- Don't worry Kamla, Maharaj Bhadradev have the purest intentions.

Bhadradev- Where is Vasantmitra? Please, I want to meet her. He started crying....he fell on the ground on his knees...Everyone was shocked....He cried- Where is my beloved daughter?

Kamla was shocked and so was the entire palace, the news spread far and wide except to Vasantmitra who was in her room trying to make her kid sleep.

Vasantmitra was in her room made her son sleep and as she was putting him in his crib, suddenly Bhadradev entered. Prithvi and others were still outside. Bhadradev was really emotional to see his daughter. Vasantmitra was watching her son not knowing Bhadradev had entered.

Vasantmitra (thinking Prithvi has entered)- I just don't want to talk to you, I don't wanna even see your face, just get out from this room. She still wasn't looking.

Bhadradev- Vasantmitra......

Vasantmitra got shocked as it was Bhadradev's voice, she turned and saw him standing there all teary eyed and emotional. Vasantmitra was confused and shocked that he was in her room. She freaked out and took her sword.

Vasantmitra showing her sword to her father- Don't you dare come near me, I will kill you. I knew you didn't want peace, where is Prithvi? She shouted- Tell me what you did to him. The shouting woke her son up again. Kanak entered the room and so did others. Kanak quickly took her grandson. She gave baby to Kamla and she took him away. Vasantmitra was confused. She was about to go after Kamla but then she saw Shaka and got shocked.

Shaka- Put down the sword my dear niece.

Vasantmitra- Niece? Baba I am your daughter.

Shaka- No, you are not. Maharaj Bhadradev is your father.

Vasantmitra- What? Baba, what is this? What's happening?

Prithvi- Oh you are in for a treat

Vasantmitra ignored Prithvi......

Kanak entered room if Prarthna, she saw her sitting on the bed crying while holding her baby. She didn't realise Kanak entered as she was lost in her thoughts. Kamla also entered and guards closed the room.

Prarthna- Maa, Maa she kept me in house arrest.

Kanak angry- Kamla, give me one good reason why you did this or else....

Kamla- She tried to kill Vasantmitra and her child.

Kanak was shocked.....

Prarthna- She is lying Ma, she is totally lying. She is helping Vasantmitra because she wants to stay in good books of that dacoit. She thinks by supporting Vasantmitra, she will get love of Bhaiya .....she is supporting that #####

Kanak slapped Prarthna which shook her .....

Kanak- Dasi .....

A dasi entered....

Kanak- Take her son away....

Dasi tooK the baby away ....

Prarthna- Ma, how could you? Are you also brainwashed by that dacoit? Are you supporting her now?

Kanak- Oh Prarthna, you don't anything, My Child, they are not having an affair, you know what, Vasantmitra is Bhadradev's long lost daughter and Samagra was instrumental in revelation of her identity. He knew it first and did everything in his power to bring out the truth.

Prarthna looked at Kanak in shock, she was dumbstruck and didn't say anything. Kanak told her truth of Vasantmitra in detail. Prathana didn't utter a single word while listening to the story.

Kanak- So now you know, Vasantmitra is a princess, legitimate wife of Prithvi, isn't that exciting?

Prarthna couldn't speak due to shock...

Kanak serious- Did you really try to harm her baby?

Bhadradev and Shaka explained the whole story to Vasantmitra for like 2 hours. She was listening to the whole story really patiently but also in awe and shock. Tears started flowing from her eyes. She remembered the painting of her mother and the crib which was made for her.

Bhadradev in tears- All my life I lived in mourning of my dead wife and child. My daughter, now I see you in front of my eyes, with your own child it's like I am alive again. My Karma made me suffer so much for so long. Now even if death comes to me, I will be happy as I will be reunited with my only love.

Vasantmitra was sad and in tears- I can't believe you hid this for so long from me Baba. You made me hate my father.

Shaka- I am so sorry but I didn't know he was innocent in all this.

Bhadradev sadly laughed- Innocent? How? I trust one of the most evil people in the world. I brought my own doom upon myself due to my Stupidity and Selfishness. Ironically, Samudra cared for her more than me.

Vasantmitra got up- This is too much for me to take right ,now, I just want to be alone. Where is my child? I want him right now.

Kamla came to the room with Chandra... Vasantmitra ran to take her baby.

Vasantmitra- Please don't take him away from my sight again.

Kamla smiled- Don't worry Vasantmitra, you are princess of Mahishmati, have the title of beloved daughter of Maharaj Bhadradev, no one will snatch your child from you.

Vasantmitra wasn't happy however- Wow, so me being daughter of a king matters, not my personality or Character. Typical.

Kamla- Vasantmitra...I...

Vasantmitra interrupted her- All of you, I request you to leave me alone, I will talk later. I am too much distressed right now.

Vasantmitra- I am happy that you love me so much but I wish you gave the same love to Avantika and Vaishali and your other children. Did you even meet Avantika and ask about her well being? Her mother is imprisoned, she must be traumatized and all you care for me, who is not even attached to you. I have seen you neglecting her since I have known her. No king would let his daughter live in the palace of his enemy except if he has some hidden motives, but in Avantika's case, it was pure neglect. Bhadradev was silent......

Bhadradev in tears....and absolutely ashamed...

Vasantmitra- So many people died in your blind hunger for revenge, my father in law was treacherously killed, you harassed Prithvi since he was a teenager, you used Vaishali and the poor soul died, Samagra was mentally tortured, so many innocent people from both sides lost their lives, just for revenge. Not once, not once you tried to find why my mother leave you for Maharaj Samudrasena. Why would she? You blindly believed everything Virochana said. I have no joy in knowing I am a princess, I wanted respect for my personality and good doings not for being a princess. As a dacoit, I did do bad things and I am totally ashamed of that, maybe that's why I am in this marriage where my husband considers me a concubine and plans to snatch my baby from me.

Bhadradev and Shaka were shocked........

Vasantmitra- Maybe it was karma of my wrong doings that despite being of good sense I fell in trap of love.

Bhadradev- You are a princess, and Kanak has accepted you as her daughter in law.

Bhadradev and Shaka left the room as Vasantmitra looked very distressed and disturbed......She fell on the ground..........crying bitterly, her son could sense she was distressed and he started crying too. She ran to hug him....and kissed his forehead.

Vasantmitra- No one can snatch you from me, not even your father.

In night.......

Prithvi came to visit Vasantmitra....she was sleeping and their son was in crib. He saw Vasantmitra sleeping and admired her for a minute. He then took his son in his arms....he woke up and started crying, Vasantmitra got up and ran to take the baby from his arms. She started making him sleep. Prithvi saw Vasantmitra and the baby with love and admiration.....

Vasantmitra- Dasi, take my son in your room for a while, I need to talk with Maharaj. Dasi took the baby and left.

Vasantmitra looked at Prithvi in anger .....

Prithvi came forward but she took a step back..

Prithvi- What happened? Aren't you happy that I came back safely?

Vasantmitra looked in his eyes and tears came in her eyes.....
