Armaan is not Kabir or ranvijay type..

He is plain stupid

He feels his family adopted him and did great favor to him

He feels insecure that he may anyday be shown door..so he always makes sure he pleases people..

He is sad that he couldn't marry his ex lover ruhi ..

He is sad that she chose his brother his family whom he cannot go against

So he sacrificed her

He is also sad that he couldn't stand up for Ruhi and have done injustice to her..

So he feels guilty like he mustn't hurt her more and tries to pacify her whenever she cries..

He is guilty that his mentor died protecting him..

He is guilty that abhira is suffering in his house because people are mean to her and she had to fight for everything..

He tries to keep her happy..

He feels guilty whenever abhira cries because of him..

Blah blah blah..

In general if we see he is man of baggages and as of now his true loyalty lies towards his family especially his dadisa and maa..

Well written. Especially the last part about ghanti. Lol. So true.

I wish Abhira will be continue to reinforce the thing of how he cant water guilt ka paudha and how he also deserves love, happiness and when he gets it he should embrace it instead of questioning it or walking away fron it.

I love how Abhira is written- especially her dialogues.

But more than Abhira continuing to impart her gyaan, it would be nice if Armaan dwells on it a bit instead of brushing it away. She's giving him pearls of wisdom and he does not even realize how poignant it is. He doesn't even have a brief monologue to think ki "aisa pehle kabhi kisine nahi kaha ki he should stop feeling guilty or taking zimmedari and just let life happen". That recognition of what Abhira tells him as being the liberating voice of reason he's actually craved to hear- thats not happening.

Its like he is so used to feeling guilty and blaming himself and his saviour complex that he cant seem to adequately appreciate someone that is his friend/companion without expecting any saving or handholding, and who doesn't hold him accountable for what happens in life. Infact he seems to be feeling guilty even about how she doesn't keep on reminding him of losing her mother due to him etc.

He needs therapy.

Abhira is being brilliantly written ..she is wise beyond her years and uses humour to take the sting away from her words. I just love the character and think it is probably one of the best written FLs of all time. And yes, Armaan definitely needs therapy. The difference between Armaan and Ruhi lies in the fact that he does not use his emotional baggage to manipulate others into doing what he wants. The present Ruhi is borderline psychotic and may need much more than therapy!

Armaan is not Kabir Singh, he is more like Abhira's mumma before she was married to her father
