Shahrukh Khan has been a part of our childhood. He's the nostalgic memories of our innocence and youth when life was all butterflies and rainbows. His movies remain a safe place for us to retreat and indulge when life becomes challenging. SRK's journey to stardom is a source of inspiration to many, a struggling youth who was told he wasn't good-looking enough to be a hero (how dare they, he's gorgeous. Look at those dimples!) Not only did he prove them wrong (suck shit), but he also became a living example that hard work and consistency do pay off.

You gave romance in Bollywood a new meaning with your love, kindness, gentleness hence deserving the tag of ‘King of Romance.’ You are great at your craft, effortlessly doing romance, action, comedy, drama, thriller and sport genres and ace villainous roles too. You made us smile, laugh, cry, blush and entertained us with your work. You made the best ‘comeback’ this year making us SRKians proud. Your films made 1000cr this year, so my wish for you is 1500cr total from all 3 films to end the year.

A fan by the name of Diana had once written this and I'd like to share the message on this day where we celebrate the birth of SRK.
To the kids who watched: DDLJ, Ram Jaane, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Koyla, Yes Boss, Dewaana, Baazigar, Darr, Karan Arjun, Josh, Pardes, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Main Hoon Naa, Devdas, Veer Zaara, Mohabatein, Kal Ho Na Ho, and many more special movies of Shah Rukh back then - are the kids who celebrate Shah Rukh with heart and soul. Now grown up in their twenties, thirties, and forties, we are the children who found a safe place in the movies, we have found security in them, and we have been beautifully taught the definition of love through Shah Rukh. Bollywood has made several cultures more compassionate among people and we, the children of that time, could see everything in Shah Rukh Khan.
A good friend, a great brother, a protector, a father figure some of us didn't have, a person who listens to you even though he's not there, a lover, an obsession and an imaginary Pati Dev for FingerFetish (I added this myself). I'll say it again, we love you Shah Rukh. I thank God that you exist.
