I love a good fantasy/spn show and ptv has a dearth of genres. There really isn't anything novel left to show in those love stories except logical storytelling and execution which even then most dramas fail at, so I am looking forward to this.

The storyline follows a 76-year-old man who invites his estranged family to a remote valley resort for an unconventional event: his wedding to the ghost of his first love. The show delves into life's existential questions, exploring love, death, and emotional connections.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Hunza Valley, 'Barzakh' also tackles significant issues like mental health, postpartum depression, and generational trauma. The six-episode series, produced by Shailja Kejriwal and Waqas Hassan, represents a unique collaboration aimed at pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

there is a section of the audience who look for romance in everything even when not required so PTV always ruin any novel concepts (of the non romance variety)..

and like i said the other day they would look for chemistry between Steve Mcqueen and barbed wire fence in The Great Escape
