14:26 Local Time, 18:26 GMT, 23:56 IST: Still raining. It stopped for a while and started again. This looks done by the looks of it. Meanwhile stay tuned for all the rain updates.

14:28 Local Time, 18:28 GMT, 23:58 IST: Live visuals show the rain pelting down. And there's the sound of thunder rumbling in the background too. We might as well call it off now and go home. But such is cricket's vagaries, that we will wait.

2.27pm I have news: heavy rain now. It looks very bleak for now, and we could be in for another long delay. Puddles of water form on the covers.

It's a shame that weather has played spoilsport in this centennial Test between West Indies and India. Inserted to bat, India posted 438 on the back of Virat Kohli's century and fifties from four other batters. In reply, the hosts got off to a slow and cautious start. Their captain - Brathwaite - notched up a half-century and the Windies batted out the entire third day. However, they collapsed on day four - losing their last five wickets inside the first hour as Siraj ran through the lower-order and claimed a fifer. India, with a 183-run lead, scored quickly and declared with almost four sessions left in the Test. Chasing 365, Brathwaite started off on a positive note but Ashwin removed the skipper for the second time in the match and backed it up with one more wicket in his following over. The equation was '289 runs vs 8 wickets' coming into the final day with 12 WTC points up for grabs but the rains failed to relent and ensured that there was no cricketing action on the final day. Presentations coming up shortly...
