11.20am We have lost nearly two hours of what was scheduled play. But covers are slowly coming off.

Gautam: "Stadiums with retractable roofs may be risky for T20s and ODIs but can definitely be a great option for Test cricket. The number of times a team will hit a six in an innings will be fairly low. So not much risk of the ball hitting the roof. And the other two formats have DLS to salvage a result."

11.30am As we speak, the main cover is now off. The rest of the ground is also free of the overs. There are blue skies around for now, signs that play could resume soon if it stays this way.

11:25 Local Time, 15:25 GMT, 20:55 IST: The ground staff have started the mopping up process. The covers are being peeled off. Live pictures show blue skies. Yay! Just the hessian cover on the pitch currently.

Vinod Dass: "Since India are in a strong position to win this match, there are discussions about roofs. Imagine a '90s Indian team looking to score 289 runs on the final day with Tendulkar and Azhar in the hut and staring at bowlers like Walsh, Ambrose, Bishop, Patterson ... one would think a draw is better."

Aarav: "what are your predictions on the result on the match. Do you think West Indies stand a chance?" --- No prizes for guessing that only one team will be pushing for a win from here, if and when play happens

Eshan Khot: "@Gautam - I think Ben Stokes and Rohit Sharma have something else to say to you about sixes being hit in a Test match. Agree with the sentiment though!"
