Since this thread has almost zero activity, I thought I'd do my song of the day series here as well! 

A dollars worth of pennies - Tommy Roe (1969)

I first heard Tommy Roe on my dad's old reel-to-reel tape. He used to acquire these tapes from his merchant Navy friends who would bring them from abroad recorded with some music and my dad would then erase them and re-record his favorite Carnatic classical or Old Hindi songs. This one somehow survived the erasure and we (my bro & I) loved these songs so much that we begged him not to! So many wonderful childhood memories associated with this!

Do you know how few people have heard of Dr Alban. 😂😂😂. We are like rare breed here. .  I introduced his song to my friends in college and they had literally never heard of him before.
