No, because back then there was a sense of curiosity also about Bollywood divas, and the intrigue about them and their roles made them bigger. Now there is so much overdose on the personal lives of today's actresses due to gossip columns, social media and paparazzi, that we cannot see them as anything larger than life. Also most of this newer gen come across being image concious rather than genuine talent.
In order for this to happen we have to allow the playing field to be opened up to outsiders and give them opportunities to showcase their talent.
We’re not going to find the next queen by giving leverage to KJO and YRF who are just going to launch bland star kids and use PR to convince us that they are talented

Watch Baaghi 2, she is brilliant in film. She played Neha's character.

O Sorry jaar, itni baar haven't pad liya hai iss forum pe toh have bhi wahi lagne laga.
Ok so u have seen it, still u find it small role. Kahan se? Ab runtime dekh ke batoun ke role small nahi tha?
No not good actress, but an actress who with time can improve & become biggest.
I don't like Deepika much but she is a superstar and has good fan following. Doesn't have that Aura of Sridevi or Madhuri and that has more to do with exposure due to social media..in that sense there can be no male or female superstars like yesteryears

She was just in college scenes n than does suicide. Very small role.
With time and hard work than every actress can become good what's so special about disha.

Chalo dysect karte hai her role -
1. Film starts with her, goons kidnap her daughter. That is good 10 min scenes.
2. Ronny comes back to meet Neha, background story runs.
3. He come & meet her in cafe. She explain about her daughter to him.
4. Film ke Interval tak till she does Suicide, she is very much in film.
5. Even in 2nd half, she is flashes when Ronny remembers her.
If this is very small role then I don't know what you call Lead role. With this logic, we can have half the heroines film with very small role.
There can’t be another Sridevi . Even her daughters can’t be another Sridevi .
