The Gray man dekha mai usme Dhanush ko to Aisa promote Kiya tha ki bahut acha character ho lekin 3 minutes ka hi role hai
Ye Indian actors ko lete hain to increase their viewers lekin Indians ko main lead or supporting character mein kyo nahi lete?

Because then they would lose their core box office audience.
because indians in US are small fraction, they make movies for their own audience, the stories are mostly about white people, blacks and latins itself representation is minimal
they know that if the writing is strong and movie is well made , people world over will anyway watch it, no need to force fit anybody to attract audience
I believe in next 20 years, NRI Indians will be able to get good roles as their body language and accent will match White and Black Americans.
Black Americans get many good roles in Hollywood. They have exotic looks, chiseled faces and their accent is good too just like white Americans.
They’re making DDLJ the musical for Broadway and casting white characters. Raj is now Roger and that’s everything you need to know about Hollywood tbh.
They make movies for their audience, not India. There are just not enough desi Americans for HW to bother about Indian actors.
Also, Irrfan Khan says hello from heaven. The Namesake, Life of Pi, and a few other movies.
Have you watched Eternals? Ibu Hatela has a good role in that film.
Watch Extraction, Randeep has excellent role in it.
We also don't cast Hollywood actors as Lead, we also cast them for cameos or small roles or side roles.
Sylvester Stallone had a cameo, Will Smith had a cameo. There is nothing to worry about as long as they respect and give credit to those Indian actors whom they cast in films.
Why should they? There are plenty of American/Canadian/British actors of South Asian descent who they can cast. Why should they overlook homegrown talent for Bollywood actors?
