The story could have also proceeded beautifully if Radha had been portrayed only as an illiterate, innocent, good natured village girl who had an unconditional childhood crush and adoration towards her childhood friend, Mohan, whom she comes to know after 18 years is unhappy/blamed for his wife's death/has a small kid, she comes to TM to help him out of his misery. She could have entered as a poor relative on any side or even come as a servant, it would definitely have been acceptable.
But here she comes barging in holding devotion as her destination/tool, dressed like the puranic Radha having a panditji for a father who definitely would not have been able to afford the expenses, linking each and every action of hers to bhagyabihariji and also holding Mohan on a bhagwan pedestal, so it is difficult to accept RM relationship turning into a love based one.
We could even accept her marriage to Mohan if her intention was to help him and Gungun only if she had NOT promised on the Gita and related Mohan as her BHAGWAN
I mean for people who do not mind devotion being used or insulted like this, it is easy to accept, but for those who respect it, will find it difficult I mean why did they bring that angle when they could have brought in the story on a normal angle. Radha can be a good, selfless, kindhearted character without using the power of devotion,
Shabir is a very talented and professional actor who could make up for the lack of chemistry between him and the FL singlehandedly and create the chemistry needed very easily if Radha did not think of him as her BHAGWAN.
RM is a good serial, better than the rest going on currently, has good casts, especially Shabir and Rheeza. Hope in future, the writer is able to draw a line between devotion and relationships.
