Someone who doesn't get enough nourishment ? To the point of not being able to maintain enough weight.  Someone whose ribs are sticking out.

She got gr8 reviews for lvrb and ishaqzaade/ hasee toh phasee and no one even said anything abt her weight then …she wasn’t skinny or model like (like priyanka) but no one had a problem with that

This whole weight nonsense started when she herself kept saying she was on a diet/ she was fat/ she needs to look better and frankly styled herself quite unflatteringly for her body type (like sonam said, super tight clothes )

Even now, no one gives a crap abt her weight ….they just want her to be authentic in her performances (something that was never an issue with vidya)

She seems too busy wanting to be a “heroine” or mimic pcs career (glamorous and acting roles side by side) but she’s neither here nor there

She also lacks originality and heavily tries to mimic rani or priyanka (imo, from what I’ve seen)

Mediocre

This right here. She was craving being labeled as a sexy siren and didn't understand that she was ahead of both Shraddha and Alia thanks to her acting being more appreciated.

She turned down interesting movies and took a break because she wanted to loose weight.

I'm certain she'd have jumped at the chance of doing a flowerpot role if it meant being in sexy girl avatar.

Now after her break, she lags behind both Alia and Shraddha.

Also who can forget when she body shamed Sonakshi by stating that she was in fact slimer that Sonakshi ?

And her taking the name of all the actresses she deemed overweight and assuming they were comfortable in their skin was the worst.

Multiple reasons.

She didn't own her body type. Some people are healthy and naturally chubby. Some are skinny but have loads of bodily disorders.

Bollywood is obsessed with two things: fair skin and skinny people. They pretend to be woke. They aren't.

Plenty of Bollywood actresses smoke and drink coffee excessively to suppress their appetite, so that they can have a lean figure.

Even actors aren't naturally built. They take a hell of lot of steroids to maintain their muscular body whether it's Hrithik, Salman, Tiger, Aamir, Ranveer, or Varun.

Plus, alcoholism runs rampant in the film industry. It's impossible to maintain fitness when you have to drink excessively everyday.

Parineeti bought the size zero hype. It doesn't help when producers continuously nag you to get that perfect body.

There are some actresses who're naturally skinny. Like Kangana and Deepika. Then, there are those who gain weight like Parineeti and even Alia. Of course, Vidya.

Parineeti used to be stellar in girl-next-door roles. She opted to become a, "hottie" and that's where the trouble began.

Problem is, if your natural body-type is inclined to weight-gain, you will have a tough time remaining fresh and healthy even if you look the part.

But Bollywood doesn't care. Film industries, in general, don't.

Look at PC today. She's fighting hard to ward off that, "Indian aunty weight gain," look. Indians usually have a tendency of gaining weight even if they were skinny in their 20s.

Boy could have had inferiority complex 😆 He is a good actor, but she is 10 times as talented. And confident, to boot. A general tendency when that happens is to try and drag the woman down on the basis of looks and/or sexual history. Too bad for him Vidya didn't give a damn.
