He deserves this backlash. He has put his foot in his mouth, and he should issue a public apology to Katrina. He's undermining her star-presence and mass appeal so blatantly. Also, he's just so dismissive of her, which reeks of misogyny. Feel sad having to read this on Women's Day.

Did he threaten Katrina with a gun to do this role ? No she signed the film she knew what it was. At the end if the day if the performers don’t like the role they can pass on the film

Does that give him a right to disrespect her like that??

Nobody even asked him to sign her up. If he thinks nobody is interested in her and just in his three lead heroes he could have easily made the movie without a heroine maybe. Why sign someone in a movie only to make them feel like they weren't needed. I don't understand the logic here.

I watched the full trailer (it was so lonnng!) to see that part Rohit is talking about, and could barely make out when Katrina blinked, it's a wide lens shot anyway.. what an inconsequential story to tell, nobody would have known if he had not opened his mouth about it 😆 although yeah, it looks like such a generic heroes slow-walking scene, there is hardly any point in reshooting it just because one person blinked lol.

The same Rohit Shetty wouldn't have dared to say NO to an Akshay or Ajay had they asked for a re-shoot of the scene.

He is a loser, the way he showed Sara in Simmba, pretty sure he must have shown Katrina the same way in this one.

No but I do understand He was trying to finish shooting his scene. But obviously should’ve had more tact in the way he explained to her. An telling all this to media is really dumb on his part

he cud have just said no one will notice katrina blinking so thats why he didn't need to do another take, but i don't know why he had to reveal that he said no one will notice katrina in that scene, he just completely shot himself in the foot by saying that, i don't know what kind of a reaction he thought he would get by saying that, and now that he has seen the reaction he must be completely regretting he said it, thats why that part of the article has been edited out

Oh yes. The worst part was that in the original version of Simmba the female leads role was far better than what Sara got and the irony here is south movies have terrible roles written for their female leads. So imagine Rohit's standards here. Why does he even sign them if he has nothing to offer. Stick to your cop universe without a female lead.
