Chapter V

Dee and Shikhar were in a hurry making some last minute changes in the presentation when they dashed into Lavanya. Dee was absolutely livid to see her and Shikhar just wanted to throttle her. "How dare you? Tmhari himmat kaise hui yha ane ki? Sharam nhi aati tmhe? Aur tmhe pta kaise chala ki Di yha pe h? Tmhe sukkoon nhi mila bhai aur dee ki zibdagi barbaad kiye hue ki tyha dee ke ghav ko fir se hare karne aa gyi?

Lavanya had tears in her eyes listening to them. She knew all their accusations were true. She had behave like a wanton women. She hd been obsessed with Rakshit . She had loved Rakshit but had not understood when her love became her obsession . By the time she had realised that it had been too late and she had destroyed two lives.She knew no matter how many times she apologized she couldn't earn their forgiveness. "Mujhe maaf kr do Dee aur Shikhar. Main bhut buri hu. Maine bhut galat kiya Drishti aur Rakshit ke saath. Mujhe pata nhi kya ho gya tha. Mujhse ye bardaasht nhi hua ki Rakshit mujhse door ja rha tha aur fir Mahima Aunty aur maine decide kiya ki hm Drishti ko Rakshit ki life se nikal denge aur vo meri shaadi Rakshit se karwa dengi. Main jaanti hoon tmlogo ko meri baaton par vishwas nhi hoga par yahi sach h . Us din unhone hi mujhe sleeping pills diye the Rakshit ki drink me mix krne k liye . Hmare  beech kuch nhi hua tha. Maine Rakshit ko frame kiya tha. " Divya who had been silent till now was now furious listening to her. She slapped Lavanya and was going to slap her again when Shikhar held her back. She was absolutely livid . Her Di had died a thousand deaths every day. She had seen her Di cry silently at nights remembering her jiju. All these years she had been silently hiding her pain inside herself . They both ahd been wronged and to know Mahima Ma had gone to this extent to push her Drishti di out of Rakshit's life was appalling. Which mother would destroy her son's life like this. Before she could move ,"Lavanya said. Please maaf kr do mujhe Dee. Meri shaadi ho gyi h . Main bas apne husband se milne ayi ythi. use iss baare me kuch nhi pata h. Please Viraj ko kuch mat btaana. Rakshit to aaj tk ye sach nhi jaanta. Meri himmat hi nhi hui use btane ki." "Viraj",both Shikhar and Dee said at the same time. He was their and Aarav's close friend . They knew he had  a hush hush wedding because his bride had become pregnant and it would have become a scandal if it would have come out as Viraj Maan was the only son of Rohan Maan the famous business tycoon but they had no idea that his bride was Lavanya. They couldn't attend his wedding as they were in London at that time but this came as a shock to their system. As much as Dee wanted to disclose Lavanya's truth to Viraj she knew she would not be able to live with her self knowing she destroyed someone's life. Shikhar and Dee were in a hurry to disclose this truth to their sister. 

"Rakshit Shergill?? Jiju?? Ye hamare investor h ?" asked Dee with a glee in her eyes. The day they had left the Shergill house was the darkest days of all their lives. Dee had found her sister there so that place held a lot of memories and she had found Shikhar. Shikhar who had missed his brother terribly rushed forward to hug his brother unmindful of the people watching. "Bhai? Aap yha?",asked Shikhar. Both the brothers had tears in their eyes after seeing each other after so many years. Drishti was standing immobile. Shed didn't know whether to be happy on seeing him or feel angry and upset at his betrayal. There were too many thoughts running through her mind. Aarav was shocked. He knew that the Rakshit Shergill was a married man and was fiercely private about his personal wife. Nobody knew anything about his wife other than the fact that she was a beauty and theirs was a love marriage . So to see the mighty Rakshit Shergill cry freely in front of everyone showing his weakness was a shock to his system and on top of that Dee calling him Jiju ?What the hell was that? Did this mean that Drishti was married to him? He had too many questions in his mind but knew that this was neither the time nor the place to ask those questions. 

Rakshit Shergill couldn't believe his eyes . His entire family was right in front of his eyes; his sister,his brother and most importantly the love of his life "Drishti Rakshit Shergill." She still looked as lovely as ever without an ounce of makeup on her face. He could find many eyes making googly eyes at her and wanted to shield her from the world. She was both his best and worst keep secret. Everybody knew he loved his wife but his wife was a mystery to all. He had made sure of that.

All the employees were murmuring among themselves. 

"Look at him . He is so gorgeous and successful but he is taken. The girl who married him must be so lucky." So what if he is married quipped another. He has never introduced his wife to the world . There's no harm in trying . He might have separated from her. But it would have been a breaking news said another. Everybody knows he doesn't discuss his personal life in any interviews but the way his entire face lights up on being asked about his wife shows how much he loves her. Drishti who was standing  beside them listening to them talking had a myriad of emotions on her face. How dare they . She was jealous and she knew that but she had no right to claim him as her own. She had come to know from Vinay that he had refused to sign the divorce papers. This meant that they were still connected by marriage but that still didn't make things clear. To the entire world they were the most loved up couple but she had known the truth of their marriage. He had married her out of revenge and to torture her but she herself had never known how and when she had fell in love with him. Her betrayal was still fresh inn her eyes. Wiping her tears she stood beside Aarav and said,"Mr Shergill,shall we?"

Hearing his name from her mouth he turned to look at her but was met with cold aloof eyes. Those eyes which had held so much love and respect for him where now filled with anger hurt and tear of betrayal and he was the one responsible for it and he would never be able forgive himself for that.
