It's true. I watched Chennai express couple years ago on Netflix and the only thing I remember from it are Meenamma and Thangabali. Don't know who or what SRK played in it. Might as well have taken anybody to play SRK's role.

Forget giving credit, srk was actually a liability. His hamming gave me headache.

I beg to disagree, since the movie's inception they were toying with reuniting the pairing hence the title Dilwale which was supposed to remind the fans of DDLJ. 

In fact I suspect they had the cast in mind even before having a sound script. 

As a director, it's his own fault that the movie turned out to be shitty and was saved only thanks to the pairing fans. 

His movie was nonsensical. He should have just taken responsabilit for this instead of throwing excuses around.

rohit is talking about after the film released and peoples reactions to deepika and her role, he isn't talking about who attracted the audience or who gave the opening numbers

deepika and rohit both are thankless peoples 

But what actually happened during Dilwale?He was really vocal about his dislike for Dilwale in the interview, even when he was speaking about how Dilwale and Golmaal 3 are his worst films. He was so critical about Dilwale.
