"Maan, yeh baar-baar tumhara blood pressure uppar-neeche hona tumhari sehat ke liye sahi nahi hai." (Maan, this constant fluctuating of your blood pressure is not right for your health.) Dr. Suresh Agrawal (FICTITIOUS NAME), renowed cardiologist of Delhi said. "Beta, mai yeh nahi keh raha ki mai tumhari takleef samajh raha hoon magar mai ek halka sa andaaza laga sakta hoon. Kyunki mai bhi apni patni se beinteha pyaar karta hoon aur uss se alag hone ka soch bhi nahi sakta. Jab kabhi woh apne maiyke chali jaati hai meri duniya ek dam tham si jaati hai aur kuch karne ka mann nahi karta. Magar beta tum ko yeh samajhna hai ki tum kewal ek pati hi nahi, ek pote, ek bete aur ek bhai bhi ho. Aur sabze zaroori ki tum Khurana Industries ke waaris bhi ho. Woh Khurana Industries jo laakhon logon ka ghar chalata hai aur unke bachon ko padhata hai. Iss liye meri raaye hai ki tum thode din ke liye kissi hill station par chale jaao jo Delhi se door hai jaise Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Ooty, Kodaikanal etc. yaa India ke bahaar bhi jaa sakte ho. Jahaan tum khud ko samjho. Apni dil ki awaaz sunno aur patta karo ki iss dukh ka tum kaise saamna karoge? Accha abb mai chalta hoon, maine jo kaha uske baare mein soch kar dekhna." (My dear boy I'm not saying that I fully understand what you are going through but I do have a slight idea of the extent of your pain. Just like you love Geet a lot so do I love my wife. I become totally lost and depressed even if my wife goes for a holiday to be with her parents for few days! But Maan you have to understand that you are not only a husband but also a grandson, a son and a brother. But above all you are provider for thousands of jobs and get education for hundreds of children! You are the "heir" to Khurana Industries. Therefore you cannot go into depression and despair. For two weeks take complete rest and relax. Go to any hill station away from Delhi i.e. Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Ooty, Kodaikanal etc. or you can go even outside India. In quite, serenity and solitude of the place discover yourself and what your heart desires? I shall leave now. Please think carefully about what I've said.)
Ram had frantically called Dr. Suresh Agrawal (FICTITIOUS NAME) who was his childhood friend as Maan's temper and restlessness was accelerating day by day thereby fluctuating his blood pressure alarmingly despite of blood pressure medication. As Khuranas had more family like relations with Dr. Agrawal than as a doctor, Ram thought that maybe he will be able to make Maan better. Dr. Suresh Agrawal came downstairs to meet Khurana family and Rajveer who were waiting for him with bated breaths. Unable to control herself any longer, Vaidehi came near Dr. Suresh Agrawal with folded hands said, "Bhaisheb, mere bacche ko kya ho gaya hai?" (Dr. Agrawal, what's wrong with my son?)
"Bhabhi, Maan abhi bahut dukh aur tanav mein hai. Woh chah kar bhi Geet ke bina jee nahi paa raha hai. Kyunki naa toh woh Geet ko bhula paaya hai aur naa hi uski maut ko apna paaya hai. Usse kuch samay akele aur aap sabse dur kissi hill station par bitaane dijiye. Jahaan jaa kar woh apne aapko pehchanega aur apni bhavanon ko samjhega." (Bhabhi, Maan is in lot of pain as well as under stress Despite of trying he is unable to accept Geet's demise and move on. Hence, let Maa for sometime be away from you all and KC stress and stay at a hill station. Once he is alone he will be able to think rationally what his heart desires and how can he make best of the current sitution.)
An hour later it was decided by Khuranas and Pandeys that in few days Maan and Rajveer both will leave for Panchgani for a couple of weeks. As along with Maan even Rajveer had been very stressed for past four and a half (4 1/2) years and had no free time to relax or grief as he has been shuttling between home and Vidyasagar Textiles after his grandfather's death. After two weeks of holiday/rest, Rajveer will return home as Rudra will have to leave by then for his mission and someone will have to be with Sushma Rani. Whereas same time Maan will leave for Mumbai as he had some meetings in Mumbai. Hence two days later, Maan and Rajveer left by the first flight in the morning from Delhi and reached Mumbai by late morning.
On reaching Mumbai, Mr. Vaidya from HR of KC branch, Mumbai was there to recieve them. He had already arranged for a MPV to take Maan and Rajveer to Panchgani. Few miles away from central Panchgani township, the driver of the MPV, Sakharam took the two men towards an elite and beautiful cottage like house known as "Rose Villa" where they will get lot of peace and quite. By the time Maan and Rajveer reached the cottage it was already lunch time. Maan and Rajveer had lunch and went to sleep as they had been awake early morning in order to catch Mumbai flight. Rest of the afternoon and evening Maan and Rajveer passed in a relaxing mood playing tennis; followed by shower; having a drink before dinner and catching up with one another. Later at night while lying in bed, Maan felt restless as well as happy as if he will find what's has been looking for.
Next morning Maan woke up at 6:00am to see the palacial Rose Villa surrounded by clouds on all sides and the temperatre dropping from 12C to 8C.
He felt as if he is in the heaven among the clouds above the mortal souls. For sometime he even forgot the pain due to seperation of Geet. The air was giving a crisp freshness due to picturesque dew drops on the leaves and petals of flowers and bushes around the villa. He never knew nature could be so beautiful just like His Mishty who was also a natural beauty.
Unable to withold from the beauty around, Maan quickly changed to a warm clothing with comfortable walking shoes
and left to explore nature after taking directions from caretaker cum cook of the villa, Tukaram. "Sahabji, door nakko jaao. Peechu bahut gehri khaayi hai. Aage jaao ek paani ka jharna (waterfall) bhi hai. Jharna ke paas Maharaj Rajeshwar Singhji ka ghar hoibe wahaan nakoo jaao. Maharaj ki security naye aur anjaan logon ko maar dei bai. Yeh jharad (tree) ki dandi (stick) lo yahaan kutte (dog) aur bandar (monkey) bahut hain." (Sir, don't stray far. Don't walk behind the house as there a deep trench. Go towards the front of the villa where there is a beautiful waterfall. Near waterfall there is a cottage belonging to Maharaj Rajeshwar Singh but don't go there as its not safe. As King's security shoots down any unknown stranger or tresspasser! Take this stick so that you can scare dogs and monkeys on the way.)
"Kyun aisa kaun reh raha hai Maharaj ki cottage mein?" (Which special person stays in the King's cottage because of which there is such a tight security?)
"Woh apun ko nahi maloom. Aap udhar nakko jaao aap yaah kuch din raho aur wapis bade shehar jaao." (That I'm not aware. You please stay here, enjoy your holiday and then leave for your home.) Tukaram said adamantly.
Maan was totally confused from which part of India Tukaram came. Some of his Hindi words were from Mumbai, some from Hyderabad and same from North Indian states thereby making his Hindi (that is if you could call it Hindi) totally a hotch-potch. But one thing was clear that he cannot go near Maharaj Rajeshwar Singh's cottage making Maan more curious each passing second of what was hiding in the cottage. Maan started walking in the direction Tukaram said. As he was walking the landscape was changing i.e. clouds were thinning with low cliffs and plateaus being visible.
The flora and fauna were so peaceful
and from the orangy glow (when Maan started) to golden yellow of the sky (current) due to sunrise was enchanting.
Then he came across moist grass on a low cliff over looking over a valley.
A little distance away was the waterfall which Tukaram had mentioned.
It was so full of life and peaceful that he decided to rest there. All through his walk he kept wishing that he was with His Mishty and how she would have enjoyed this scenic beauty.
As Maan was feeling hungry, he realised that it was two hours since he had left and Rajveer must be getting worried. Maan got up and turned to leave for the villa when he heard a beautiful and melodious voice singing a song from 60s Bollywood movie,
"Sapne suhane ladakpan ke,
Mere naino me dole..."
(Movie: Bees Saal Baad, 1962)
(00:36 - 04:25)
Maan's curiosity got better of him and he followed the melodious voice as he felt that the voice belonged to His Mishty. He soon came upon a clearing and found a girl dancing among trees in white. Her long hair was tied in a tight braid and her back was towards Maan.
Once the song was over the girl turned for few seconds towards Maan and then again turned her back against Maan without looking at him and bending forwards as if to pick up something. Maan was stunned
then slowly a silvery smile appeared on his lips
and he went very close to her and called in his baritone voice "MISHTY?" Geet turned holding a three year old child in her arms who was calling her irritably, "Ma, Ma ghar chalo Mamma ke paas." (Ma, Ma lets go home, Mamma is waiting.)
Maan was standing frozen.
