I think the first thing I want to mention is the conversation between Arnav and Khushi at the dining table
the conversation was supposed to be more discreet in fashion hence the pretence of water but highlight ASR's sense of directness.
Agree that Arnavs mannerisms are a little blunt.
As for khushis reaction probably just not knowing how to react. Maybe it's a weakness in the descriptive element here.

For me it says, don't listen to them, I don't Believe in these old wife's cultural codes, theres no need to get worked up, it's going to happen anyway so don't worry about getting to a expected outcome.
