Um, hi
so I caught up with all 7 episodes including the one that aired today and i have to say I am really impressed with Naveen Waqar's acting. I feel like she does fit into Shela's role well, I dont understand why people think she doesnt.
One reason I was afraid to watch this show was that I just finished watching maan mayal and couldn't bear the thought of another show with a mazloom bechari aurat with kids
but by the looks of it, Shela is still strong and she's consistently standing against Mansoor.
I loved loved that scene between Shela and Mansoor's mother today where she tells her " agar aap kuch nahi kar saki toh phir mein kaise ?" And then the mother tells are the regular a wife can change her husband with her aandaz.
Along side that, I laughed at the scene where mansoor hit her in the middle of the night because Shela was equally hitting him if any less. I don't think I have ever watched a pakistani or indian show where the woman is fighting back physically as well.
Shela knows that men like mansoor can't change, they weren't raised properly and a "wife" is not a solution to it all.
So far, it is unlike the stereotypical story I thought it will be...
It was suprising to see mansoor not reject shela's pregnancy with "its not my child speech" but it might happen is next episode.
Also why is Maa-ji now acting so strong? before she was also humiliated by her husband and that's how mansoor learned to not respect women...so it seems weird that she's now only reprimending and getting upset by his behavior..
any thoughts on this?
