I stumbled upon this thread, so wanted to give in my two cents
Guys, forget living in a Memon area, I myself am a Memon. I can assure you Memon families don't have girls and boys dancing together even if it's with cousins or brothers. Like only 1/3 of Memon community organizes dances in Mehndi functions and ONLY guys dance, trust me. ONLY GUYS! I have been going to Memon weddings all my life and have met all kinds of Memons and I tell you, Memons are generally not as modern yet to have proper dance floors on Mehndis and dance competitions between the two sides. So yes showing such professional kind of dance was waay too out of the Memon culture.
As far as outfit is concerned, yes Memons generally wear those long maxis but not everyone. In today's time, most of the adult ladies don't wear those maxis, generally paternal and maternal grandmothers wear them. Even in the show, they have shown Raabu maasi (btw every Memon family has one Raabu Maasi at least, it's historical 😆) wearing the maxi and not the other adult ladies which is the correct depiction of a Memon household. My grandmothers wear maxis but my khala/chachi/mum don't.
This drama is actually a good depiction of a Memon household but some things are a little too much. Now a days we don't have paternal grandfathers acting all patriarchal about their sons and grandsons/granddaughters. Grandfathers in Memon families aren't this strict anymore and don't get this much say in their grandchildren's marriages. It's all a myth and even if it existed back in the day, it doesn't exist anymore.
