Rajesh Khanna's bungalow Aashirwad to be demolished

Mumbai: Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna's Mumbai bungalow, which is currently owned by Shashi Kiran Shetty is all set to be demolished, according to a report in Times of India. The owner reportedly has plans of constructing a multi-storey building in the plot.

The bungalow, which was purchased by Shetty in August 2014, is more than 50 years old. Reports also stated that Shetty will most likely not change the name of the star bungalow Aashirwad.

"We're to redevelop the property since the eXisting structure is more than 50 years old. The process will start in a couple of months," Shetty was quoted saying.

Shetty, who is the executive chairperson of Allcargo, purchased the 6,500 square feet property for a Rs 95 crore.
