Samuthirakani to play a role in upcoming Sivakarthikeyan's movie Tanna

We had recently reported that Sivakarthikeyan will begin work on his next film, Rajini Murugan, directed by Ponram, by mid-August. Now, we hear that the film, which is said to be a rural comedy in the vein of their Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, will have director-actor Samuthirakani as the antagonist.

Says a source, "Samuthirakani will play a character that is like a villain in the film. This character will be as powerful as the one he recently did in Dhanush's film. In addition to Samuthirakani, Raj Kiran also has a very crucial role." The film will be shot entirely in and around Madurai. D Imman has been roped in to compose the music and Yugabharathy will write all the songs.
