" I am in love...I accept it!" Thought Raman... As he entered the house. The soft smile on his face refused to leave. Well! He had been In love before he knew the feeling, didn't he? then why did this feel...hmm... DIFFERENT? When he was with Shagun he just thought it was love... But now he knew better... That was just love based on responsibility only and not the real kind of love.
He had almost killed Parmeet when his real character had come out... He wanted to break those hands that had touched his Ishita! He had stopped himself only because of his sister's plea's... Ha! Simmi was better off without such a creep creature for a husband.
There she was, across the room.. Laughing over something with Ruhi. His heart missed a beat, there was a constant pain in the region of his heart since a few days now. Was he turning in a heart patient? Should he see a heart specialist? What would he tell the doctor?
"You see doc, I have been suffering from palpations and erratic heart beat but the only doctor who can save me is a Dentist!" Well, the heart specialist might just refer him to a psychiatrist after hearing this!
He walked across the room towards his wife and daughter. Nowadays he could even hear violins playing when he was around Ishita. He felt like singing while dancing around trees for Ishita just like Shahrukh would in bollywood movies. "Gosh! Raman control yaar! You are turning totally filmy!" He scolded himself!
He should go confidently and confess his love to Ishita. "Tum jo koi bhi ho, I love you!"... But these days he felt practically tongue tied in Ishita's presence, and it didn't help that whenever he showed love for Ishita, she thought he was doing it just for the sake of Ruhi...
He snapped out of his thoughts... Ishita was saying something...
"What?" Raman's brain refused to work...
"I said, is something wrong?" Ishita felt concerned about Raman, No smart retorts from him these days. He seemed happy and smiling too! Was he dying?
Ishita hardly knew when love had just creeped into her being, probably when Raman said thank you to her in Tamil...rumba nulla!!! she loved Raman with all her heart... This realisation had zapped her, made her numb as if she had given herself a few hundred anaesthetic jabs! But the knowledge that Raman could never love her made her heart pain in a thousand different ways.
Raman: "Hmm- uh.. I want to tell you something..."
Ishita: "Yes Raman I am listening..."
Ruhi: "I am listening too Papa tell tell"
Raman: "Ruhi beta.. Go and sleep dear it's late.." He managed to send Ruhi away! Now was his chance... He knew that a drawing room was not the most romantic setting for a love confession but it was now or... God knows when!
"I was saying... I want to say... I was planning to say..."
"What!??!?"
"Uhh-huu... I... I...love you!
"Arre it's ok Raman you don't have to pretend, Ruhi is not around..."
"No... No.. I am serious!"
"Serious! I thought so... What's wrong with your health tell me... You don't take good care of yourself! We will go to the best doctor and we will blah...blah...blah..."
This was not going the right way... Ishita had started her lecture completely misunderstanding what he really wanted to say..."Stop.. Stop Ishita! Shhh! Raman put his finger on her lips silencing her.
Ishita tried to speak but no sound came out...
"For God's sake! Just listen to me for once!" Raman said grinning boyishly.
"Naan unnai kadhalikkiren"
"Wha..." Ishita felt confused... What was happening? That look in Raman's eyes... As if... As if... Ishita glanced towards Ruhi's room.. Ruhi toh nahi hai yaha... A blush spread over her face... He loved her! She couldn't believe what she had just heard...Raman Kumar loved her? She closed her eyes completely expecting herself to wake up and realising it's only a dream and Raman was still the saddu Ravan Kumar!
He had said it! He felt as if his heart might just break his ribs and pop out! But why was Ishita standing there with her eyes closed? Was the fact of him being in love so unbearable for Ishita? Didn't she like him a little also? 1% or or a 0.5%...He started to panic... He couldn't lose her now... Not now...
"It's...it's ok Ishita take your time... You don't have to reply now.., I can wait..."
Shhh!! You silly man! Don't you know I love you? I have loved you for months...you exist in every beat of my heart... I want to spend the rest of my life loving you...
Both of them had tears in their eyes and smiles on their lips as they hugged... Suddenly life was so beautiful!
"Ishimaa..." A sleepy Ruhi walked in... "I want water..."
"Hawww...you creep Ravan Kumar! You fake... You knew Ruhi was listening to us...You said all this for her benefit! I will never forgive you!" Saying this she started to walk away with Ruhi.
Raman was aghast!
"No Ishita I really meant what I said... I love you with all my heart!! Please believe me.. Ohh God how do I convince you..."
Ishita looked over her shoulder at Raman and winked. She was laughing..." Oyeee Raman Kumar Bhalla... Mein Tenu Pyaar Kardii aa!"
Raman could just stand there with his mouth open. His wife was a naughty imp! His married life was going to be interesting...he smiled. Ruhi and Ishita had already got him twisted around their fingers. But he didn't mind... All he wanted to do was love them and take care of them. His heart was brimmed with so much love that it could last a million lifetimes...
