These are the ones I can think of at the top of my head. He is quite able in writing both comedies as well as romance and serious plays.

Vasay's really talented but he has his niche. He's really good at writing comedy but I'm a little iffy with him tackling something a little different. However, given he roped in Mehreen Jabbar and great performers, I'm hopeful this won't disappoint...but lets see. I always think back to Malaal when I see/hear of Mehreen Jabbar and New York City. However, I think it's foolish of us to expect something of that sort to happen again and again, as such shows are once in a blue moon kinda deal..especially because that had Umera as the writer and her sensibilities and subtlety as a writer are a class apart.

I think it's a good move because this way we can go beyond ARY, Geo and Humtv. I mean how can a channel ruin a story? The channel just broadcasts the show..it's the perception that some have that not unless a show is aired on Humtv, it's not worth watching.
