Noman Ijaz is playing a different role in the drama, not the lead character. The male lead has been offered to Fawad.

Here's the story, nothing clear, vaguely told.

MOL is a unique love story of two very opposite people but a legend and its mesmerizing charm cast a spell over them and they become life partners despite all the odds and hurdles. Ayesha has always been a dreamer and Shehriyar Hassan a very practical person. One day Ayesha comes to know that her dreams were only dream and that they will never become reality. She feels incomplete and devastated. The same legend that brought them together will tear them apart ?

well it sounds like drama serial chemistry
in that drama faisal rehman was the one who unite sanam and danish and then he was the one who broke their marriage

The drama would mostly focus on a clash between intellect and between society, and basically what wins society, intellect or wisdom. It also focuses on complexities of relationships of two people living under one roof, people who have different intellect, different wisdom. Characters who change from black and white and eventually turn grey. - according to the official producer and the original story creator (Faysal Manzoor).

Character Descriptions:

Shehriyar Hassan is a young dynamic man of age 32, a deputy commissioner, who lives in a joint family. He has studied abroad now living with his family in Karachi. His family ancestors were from Delhi,India. Shehriyar is calm quiet and reserved who does not like his space being intrude by anyone. He respects other people's space and expects the same from others.
Ayesha is a young girl, very different then other girls. She is benevolent and mature and refined in her thoughts and teaches at a school for Special Children. She not only loves herself but also the world around her with all its beauty and colors and diversity in life. She wants all of this to be with her forever. In that School she is the most dedicated and responsible teacher and completely devoted to her pupils. As a daughter she is an ideal daughter parents would wish to have she is obedient, loving and caring. She believes that fairy tales and romances are just book phenomena and it does not exist. She has decided that whichever Hamsafar their parents will choose for her she will say yes because this is best for girls. She is a conventional Eastern (Mashriqi) girl. Because of this very thought she has not loved anyone. Her mother Najma keeps telling her that when she was a kid with her fellow kids in the games she would play she had always taken role of a bride. And on asking what she will become when she grows up, she would answer, "A Mother". But today Ayesha thinks that it was her being childish and that she was a mere kid. She loves her family and her younger sister Ghazia is her life. She is living a happy and serene life until Shehriyar walks in.

I am hoping that it works out and we get to see the popular jodi back. But if Fawad is doing the bw film with Sonam, its unlikely to happen im8.
But all the best to him for whatever he does, I will wait to see hos brilliant acting in any medium.

Does Ayesha's sister have an important role? I wonder who plays that role. And what role does Noman Ijaz play?

@red bold - makes me wonder if its intended to be for FM. "A young girl" is pretty vague, and normally used for girls aged 22-ish back home. That means the age difference is around 10 years.

Noman Ejaz & Mahira could end up being paired together if age is a catalyst in this story. πŸ€“
