Yeah, alright, you guys. Guess I did really start a World War, then.
Okay, sticking by what I said, and what a couple of you said, too, is the fact that if Mahira Khan was "undeserving" and she won, that's actually pointing out the flaws of the awarding system, right? And here's the thing, fans of HS do love Fawad and Mahira, both individually and separately, and yeah, alright, they're going to be voting for them or whatever, but how's that stopping other fans from voting from their favorites? We're not talking overrated, we're talking who's more popular now, aren't we?
I guess I understand where you lot are coming from, the whole 'there-were-more-deserving-people' thing, and yeah, I agree. What made Maat great for me was Saba's acting, hands down. But I generally do believe that overall, SZ was promoted pretty well, and the characters, their thoughts and ideologies, were all presented well. Umera's dialogues, too, were hard-hitting and spectacular in certain places. But most of all, it was the underlying theme of the story - the search for God through the eyes of someone who was so far from him, or call it whatever you'd like - that made the show such a success. I don't say that people related to Mahira, they related to Falak, and I do agree that there were parts in the show where her acting needed work, but overall, I think that the show hit home for a lot of people. And honestly, I think that's the reason it won.
I guess, at this point, it's safe to say that we can agree to disagree, though. We're all entitled to our opinions, and anyway, I still stick with mine, so you can stick with yours. :)
