These are all lame excuses. This also proves that there may not be any critics choice categories. If that was the case then they could've included Humsafar in the viewers choice without fearing anything else..and then acknowledging who THEY think is worthy of winning through the critics choice. At the end of the day that's how it is everywhere. Look at bollywood..they have a million categories so everyone wins. π Not saying we have to do that to (we shouldn't though)..but we could have popular choice and critics choice.
So Sanam Baloch is better off being nominated for Roshan Sitara than Durre Shahwar because had she been nominated for the latter she would have been a stronger contestant to win..and that would've been unfair to everyone else? Uhh..the most stupidest logic ever.
Also, I think it's a bit unfair on Mahira's part to say that they excluded her performance from Humsafar because that would have been more worthy of winning and replaced it with that from SeZ..because it isn't as worthy of winning? π I'm no Mahira fan and while I had problems with her acting here and there in SeZ..she was far better as Falak than she was as Khirad. That role was also far more challenging.
I don't understand how our awards have like 5 acting categories and 100 fashion/music/designing categories. Why not come up with best supporting cast + best negative + comedic characters etc..at least more people could be acknowledged this way..that's how the rest of the world works too..in case Hum didn't notice.
And oh Bari Aapa is from 2013..it ended a week ago..it shouldn't have been nominated at all.
