I have worked for a lot of startups, and they always burn money in the beginning. Green is already earning a lot from their YouTube channel — at least 15 million PKR per month. I think they must already be turning a profit, although it would in no way be comparable to Hum, Geo, and ARY. It took Netflix 10 years to become profitable, and Uber is still not making a profit.

The show on Express is not making any revenue from YouTube, and its TRP is also not that great. It is only 2 points higher than Duniyapur; there is no denying that.

Express TV shows are being made on a cheap budget, whereas Dunyapur is a high-budget drama. It would need Hum TV-type TRPs to make any profit, but it's getting less than 2 TRPs. Such a high-budget drama can't recover its money with such low TRPs, which is why I'm saying it flopped. We're here discussing Dunyapur in particular, whether it flopped or not, not green TV in general.

I don’t think Green tv is expecting Hum tv type ratings. The channel has a long way to go and the reason it’s investing in the budget and different stories is that it’s trying to build its audience first.

The number of views they are getting compared to Express isn't even close. Green got 220.9M views in the last month, compared to 34.98M for Express.

Green is heavily investing, and it’s paying off when you look at the numbers. The first episode of Duniyapur already has 14M views, which translates to significant revenue for just one episode. However, in terms of TRPs, it will take them a long time to reach the same level as Hum, ARY, and GEO.

Green entertainment Channel is an year old Channel and the satellite transmission isn't for currently in whole pakistan..it is slowly increasing it so for less satellite transmission Duniyapur is doing great ,if this was on the Top 3 channel then the TRP is equal to 12-13 ...So it's not a flop serial. It's hilarious how every drama of Green is considered flop though which they are not . A YT channel with 6/7 M subscribers are getting 5 million avg views is good or channel with a 50/ 60 M is getting 5-6 M avg ?

No not every Green tv drama, only high budget dramas which can't recover it's budget with less than 2 TRPs.

Exactly Lets just call all of its shows flops and save ourselves some time.

I don’t know about TRP’s or profit but the buzz for the show is amazing. It has received great reviews by all channels. I haven’t heard one bad review yet. And it has good numbers on YouTube considering that there is no love story yet and that actual story of the leads is yet to start. Once that happens views will pick up further.

Most Green shows do well initially. But then suffer in the second half.

Dunyapur so far is definitely an interesting and different watch. At least we are not in some done to death love story or Saas Bahu politics

This says it all. Pakistani audience prefer Saas Bahu dramas.
