Chapter 3
As Sahiba's elder sister's wedding approached, she felt a strong desire to gift her sister something truly special and unique – a jewellery set designed by her own hands. However, Sahiba knew that the designs she created for Brar Jewellery were exquisite, but the materials used were beyond her budget. Determined to find a solution, she decided to reach out to Angad with a bold idea.
Sahiba carefully composed an email to Angad, expressing her desire to discuss a potential collaboration that could benefit both Brar Jewellery and the middle-class market. She proposed a meeting to share her idea in detail. Impressed by Sahiba's initiative and creativity, Angad promptly arranged a meeting at the Brar Jewellery office.
As Sahiba entered Angad's office, she felt a surge of excitement mixed with nervous anticipation. She had rehearsed her pitch countless times, but now faced with the reality of presenting her idea to the CEO, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of uncertainty.
"Good afternoon, sir," Sahiba greeted respectfully as she took a seat opposite Angad.
Angad smiled warmly in return, appreciating Sahiba's professionalism. "Good afternoon, Sahiba. Thank you for coming in. I'm eager to hear about your idea."
Sahiba took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before she began to explain her proposal.
"Thankyou, sir. I've been thinking about how we can make high-quality jewellery more accessible to the middle-class market," Sahiba started, her voice steady with determination. "My idea is to create a line of jewellery that maintains the same level of craftsmanship and design excellence as our current collections, but with more affordable materials and price points."
Angad listened intently, nodding in understanding as Sahiba outlined her vision. As she spoke, he could sense her passion and determination shining through.
"That's a fantastic idea, Sahiba," Angad responded, his tone encouraging. "It aligns perfectly with our mission to make quality jewellery accessible to everyone. Do you have any specific ideas in mind for the design and marketing of this new line?"
Sahiba replied eagerly, "Yes, sir. I've been working on some initial concepts that I believe would appeal to the middle-class demographic."
But before Sahiba could continue, Angad raised a hand, halting her momentarily. "Hold on, Sahiba. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I must admit I'm a bit hesitant about deviating from our current strategy. We've built a strong brand around luxury and exclusivity, and I'm concerned about diluting that image."
Sahiba's heart sank slightly at Angad's initial hesitation, but she remained determined to convince him of the potential of her idea.
"I understand your concerns, sir," she responded respectfully. "But I believe there's a way to maintain our brand's prestige while also expanding our market reach. By offering a more accessible line of jewellery, we can attract new customers without compromising on quality. Plus, it's an opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to inclusivity and diversity."
Angad considered Sahiba's words carefully, impressed by her conviction and willingness to challenge the status quo.
"You make a compelling argument, Sahiba," he conceded, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "Let's hear more about your ideas for the design and marketing of this new line."
Encouraged by Angad's openness, Sahiba dove back into her presentation, elaborating on her vision with renewed enthusiasm. As she spoke, Angad's initial reluctance faded, replaced by genuine interest and excitement for the possibilities ahead.
As Sahiba presented her idea to Angad with confidence and determination, she noticed a subtle shift in his expression – a spark of interest that hinted at approval. Just as she finished outlining her proposal, there was a knock on the door, and in walked Garry and Veer, Angad's cousins and fellow members of the Brar Jewellery team.
"Hey, guys," Angad greeted them with a smile. "Perfect timing. Sahiba here has just shared an intriguing idea with me, and I think you'll want to hear about it."
Sahiba felt a surge of nervous energy as she watched Angad introduce her idea to Garry and Veer. She knew that their opinions would carry weight, and she hoped they would see the potential in her proposal.
As Angad explained Sahiba's concept for a new line of jewellery targeted at the middle-class market, Garry and Veer listened intently, their expressions growing more intrigued with each passing moment. They exchanged glances, nodding in agreement as Angad outlined the details of Sahiba's plan.
"That's brilliant, Sahiba," Garry exclaimed, his eyes alight with excitement. "I never would have thought of something like this. What inspired you to come up with such a unique idea?"
Sahiba took a deep breath, steeling herself to share the personal reason behind her proposal.
"Well, my elder sister's wedding is approaching, and I wanted to gift her something special – a jewellery set that I designed myself," Sahiba explained, her voice tinged with emotion. "But the designs I create for Brar Jewellery are beyond my reach in terms of price. So, I started thinking about how we could make high-quality jewellery more accessible to people like me –middle-class consumers who appreciate beauty and craftsmanship but may not have the means to purchase luxury items."
Garry and Veer exchanged a meaningful glance, touched by Sahiba's sincerity and determination.
"That's really thoughtful, Sahiba," Veer said, his voice filled with admiration. "I'm impressed by your dedication to your sister and your commitment to making a difference in people's lives."
Angad nodded in agreement, a proud smile on his face as he looked at Sahiba.
"I couldn't agree more," Angad added. "Your idea has the potential to not only benefit Brar Jewellery but also make a positive impact on countless individuals. I'm fully supportive of this initiative, and I'm excited to see where it takes us."
Sahiba felt a swell of gratitude and pride as she realized that her idea had been met with enthusiasm and support from her boss.
As the meeting came to an end and the excitement in the room lingered, Sahiba couldn't contain her joy. With a grateful smile, she rose from her seat, feeling are renewed sense of purpose and determination coursing through her veins.
As Sahiba exited the office, she couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration. She had dared to dream big, and now, with the support of her colleagues, her dream was one step closer to becoming a reality.
Meanwhile, back in Angad's office, Veer and Garry exchanged knowing glances, unable to resist the opportunity for some playful teasing.
"Well, would you look at that," Veer said with a mischievous grin. "Our dear Angad seems to have a soft spot for our talented new employee."
Garry chuckled in agreement, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I never thought I'd see the day when Angad Singh Brar would be smiling like that over a work project."
Angad rolled his eyes good-naturedly at his cousins' banter, but deep down, he couldn't deny the truth in their words. Sahiba had indeed made an impression on him, not just as a colleague, but as a person with a vision and determination that inspired him.
And as he watched Sahiba's retreating figure through the office window, a sense of anticipation stirred within him. He had a feeling that together, they were about to embark on an exciting journey – one that would not only transform Brar Jewellery but also leave a lasting impact on the lives of many.
In the cozy confines of Brar Mansion, Veer and Garry found themselves stealing a moment of privacy with Manveer, Angad's mother, in the family's sitting room. With mischievous grins plastered on their faces, they couldn't resist the temptation to share their playful suspicions.
"Mami ,we have something to tell you," Garry began, his voice tinged with excitement.
Manveer raised an eyebrow, a curious expression crossing her face. "What is it,Garry?"
Veer chimed in, unable to contain his amusement. "Well, Bari Mummy, we couldn't help but notice something... interesting about Angad Paaji."
Manveer's curiosity piqued further. "Oh? And what might that be?"
Garry leaned in conspiratorially, a playful twinkle in his eye. "We think Angad might have a little crush on Sahiba, the new designer at the office."
Manveer's eyes widened in surprise, a bemused smile tugging at the corners of her lips."Oh, is that so?"
Veer nodded, unable to contain his laughter. "Yes, Bari Mummy. He's been smiling like a lovesick puppy ever since she joined the team."
Manveer found the revelation intriguing. "Tell me more. What is Sahiba like? And how does Angad behave around her?"
Garry and Veer exchanged glances, then launched into a detailed description of Sahiba's qualities and Angad's demeanor in her presence. They spoke of Sahiba's talent ,her dedication to her work, and her warm personality that seemed to light up the room. As for Angad, they described how his usually reserved demeanor softened whenever Sahiba was around, how he smiled more often and seemed more at ease in her presence.
Manveer listened intently, a thoughtful expression on her face. She couldn't help but feel a sense of intrigue at the idea of her son being drawn to someone like Sahiba. Perhaps there was more to this than meets the eye.
As Veer and Garry bid Manveer farewell and made their way out of the sitting room, she couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something special brewing between Angad and Sahiba. And as a mother, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement at the prospect of her son finding love.

Chapter 4
As a couple of months passed since Sahiba's inception as a designer at Brar Jewellers, her impact on the company continued to deepen. Her creative prowess had garnered wide spread acclaim among her colleagues, with many expressing admiration for her innovative designs and meticulous attention to detail. Angad, in particular, found himself increasingly drawn to Sahiba's talent and dedication, noticing how she effortlessly blended creativity with professionalism. Moreover, he observed her selflessness in helping others around the office, further endearing her to him. However, amidst the overwhelming appreciation, there lingered a few individuals who harbored reservations towards Sahiba, their reasons known only to themselves. Despite this, Sahiba's positive influence on the workplace remained undeniable, her presence injecting a vibrant energy into the atmosphere of Brar Jewellers.
In the bustling office of Brar Jewellers, Angad's cousins Garry, Veer, Kiara, Ekam, and Prince gathered around a table, engaged in lively conversation. Their laughter echoed through the room as they shared stories and jokes, their camaraderie evident in their easy rapport.
Just then, Pam, Angad's trusted personal assistant, entered the office, a stack of papers in hand. As she made her way towards Angad's desk, she greeted the cousins with a warm smile before turning her attention to Angad.
"Good morning, sir,"Pam said respectfully, placing the papers on his desk. "I've gone through your schedule for the day, and everything's set. Oh, and there's one more thing– Sahiba has requested annual leave for four days starting next week."
Angad's brows furrowed slightly at the mention of Sahiba's request. "Annual leave? Why does she need time off?" he inquired, his tone tinged with concern.
Pam nodded, noting his concern. "She didn't specify the reason."
Angad sighed, a sense of protectiveness washing over him. "Alright, I'll approve it," he said decisively, his tone leaving no room for argument.
As Angad stepped out of the room to go to his office, he instructed Pam to call Sahiba in for a meeting. His cousins observed his actions with keen interest, noting the unusual display of concern and protectiveness towards Sahiba.
Garry, ever the observant one, couldn't resist teasing Angad further. "Looks like our dear Angad Paaji is getting all protective over Sahiba," he remarked with a smirk.
Veer nodded in agreement, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I've never seen him react like this for any other employee before. Sahiba Ji must be something special."
Kiara and Ekam exchanged curious glances, their interest piqued by the mention of Sahiba. They hadn't met her yet but were intrigued by the effect she seemed to have on Angad.
"I wonder what she's like," Kiara mused, her gaze drifting towards Angad's office.
Ekam nodded in agreement, a hint of anticipation in his voice. "Yeah, I've heard she's quite talented.I can't wait to meet her."
As Pam called Sahiba to Angad's office, the cousins exchanged excited whispers, eager to catch a glimpse of the woman who had captured Angad's attention. And as Sahiba walked past the office, her presence seemed to cast a spell over Ekam and Kiara, who couldn't help but be struck by her beauty and grace.
"She's beautiful,"Ekam whispered to Kiara, his eyes wide with admiration.
Kiara nodded in agreement, her gaze fixed on Sahiba as she greeted Angad with a warm smile. As the cousins watched from afar, they couldn't deny the magnetic pull Sahiba seemed to exert, drawing them into her orbit with effortless charm.
Prince, the youngest among Angad's cousins, couldn't resist adding his own playful remark to the conversation. With a mischievous grin, he leaned in and whispered, "I think she'll be our future Bhabhi-to-be." His words elicited chuckles and nods of amusement from the rest of the cousins, who couldn't help but find humor in the idea.
As Sahiba entered Angad's office, she couldn't shake off the nervous flutter in her stomach. His request for a urgent meeting had caught her off guard, and she couldn't help but wonder if something was amiss. "Please, have a seat, Sahiba," Angad said, gesturing towards the chair opposite his desk. Sahiba obliged, her mind racing with worry. "Is everything alright, sir?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern. Angad leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable as he regarded Sahiba. "I just wanted to inquire about your request for annual leave," he said, his tone gentle yet probing. "May I ask what it's for?" Sahiba's heart skipped a beat as she hesitated. "It's for my sister's wedding," she finally replied, her voice soft with apprehension. "I'll be taking four days off to attend the festivities." Angad nodded ,a flicker of understanding crossing his features. "Ah, I see. That's an important occasion," he remarked, his tone softening. "Family comes first, after all." Sahiba felt a wave of relief wash over her at Angad's response. She had feared he might question her reasons or deny her request, but his understanding demeanor put her at ease. "Thank you, sir," she said gratefully, offering him a small smile. "I appreciate your consideration." Angad returned her smile, his eyes reflecting a warmth that made Sahiba's heart flutter inexplicably. "Of course, Sahiba. Take the time you need," he said, his voice reassuring. "And congratulations to your sister on her wedding." With that, Sahiba rose from her seat, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Angad for his understanding.
To Sahiba's surprise, as she sifted through her emails at home, she stumbled upon a message that caught her off guard. It was from Angad, her boss, informing her that he had granted her the rest of the week off along with the entirety of the following week. Gratitude flooded Sahiba as she read the unexpected gesture, appreciating the generous gift of time off. Yet, amidst her appreciation, aflicker of curiosity ignited within her. Why was Angad being so unusually generous? The question lingered in her mind, stirring a sense of intrigue that she couldn't shake. Nonetheless, she embraced the opportunity, realizing that this unexpected break would allow her to fully immerse herself in her sister's wedding festivities. With a grateful smile, Sahiba looked forward to the joyous celebrations that awaited her, cherishing the chance to partake in the special moments with her family.
The air was filled with a palpable sense of excitement as the Monga family prepared for their first wedding celebration. Laughter echoed through the halls, and the scent of fragrant flowers wafted through the air, enveloping everyone in a warm embrace of anticipation. Sahiba and Keerat couldn't help but share in the collective joy, yet beneath their smiles lurked a shadow of concern for their sister, Seerat. They knew that Seerat's marriage to Karan was not based on love but rather on practicality, a fact that weighed heavily on their hearts.
As the festivities unfolded, Sahiba and Keerat observed Karan's genuine affection for Seerat, a stark contrast to her sister's indifferent attitude. They couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for him, knowing that his love was unrequited. However, they remained silent, heeding their mother's instructions to maintain decorum and not interfere in Seerat's decision.
"I must say, Sahiba Ji, you look absolutely stunning today," Manav remarked, his gaze lingering a little too long for comfort.
Sahiba's lips curved into a polite yet dismissive smile as she replied, "Thank you, but I prefer not to engage in such conversations."
Undeterred by her lack of interest, Manav persisted, his tone dripping with false charm. "Come on, Sahiba Ji, don't be so serious. I'm just admiring your beauty."
Sahiba's expression hardened as she retorted, "Flattery will get you nowhere, especially when it lacks sincerity."
Meanwhile, Keerat stood by her sister's side, a protective presence against unwanted advances. She shot Manav a cold glare, silently warning him to keep his distance.
"Keerat ,my dear, why don't you join me for a dance?" Manav suggested, his tone laced with thinly veiled innuendo.
Keerat's eyes narrowed as she replied, "I'm sorry, but I'm not interested. And I would appreciate it if you respected mine and Sahiba Di’s boundaries."
Manav'ssmile faltered, his attempt at charm thwarted by Keerat's unwavering resolve. With a muttered excuse, he retreated, leaving Sahiba and Keerat to share aknowing glance.
Throughout the festivities, Sahiba and Keerat remained vigilant, their concern for their sister tempered by their determination to support her through this momentous occasion. As they stood together, united in their silent solidarity, they found solace in each other's company, knowing that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together as a family.
