If we observe, in many drama based fiction daily soaps, almost similar drama elements, known twists & turns with bit rehash, predictable situations (even BGM, screen freezes😛) are getting used and re-used last few years, only actors/actresses or show titles keep changing.
Some of the most popular, successful, financially hit, well acclaimed, loved daily soaps that also received huge viewership are STILL being talked about, re-watched, re-telecast, re-cycled, memorized even after they ended long back,😃 not because of these known drama, situations.
Concept, key characters, their strengths and graph, actors/actresses who personify them onscreen, how well key characters emotionally connect with audiences,😊and in romantic cases relatable chemistry of lead couples, their journey with some plot movements if gets hooked with audience within the first 100-200 episodes, that's what usually gives longevity scope to daily soaps to cater to wider section of diverse Indian audiences.
So feel writers have to in parallel develop key characters, keep a relatable arc in mind, maintain some consistency even while they dump dramatic situations week after week to fill up episodes, that too for new daily soaps.
PS.
Here in RM, even in most OTT dramatic or forced situations they keep creating week on week at times quite disconnecting, still Gungun's character base and graph for instance is being sustained, scenes are written to comply to her behavior, and show some progress in her, but its not the case with many other key characters, and that's the problem.
