Hi All,
As the ancient Greek philosopher Herac l i tus once said, “Change is the only constant”.
We evolve, the world evolves, policies evolve, systems evolve.
Irrespective of how a winner was decided or what was rewarded to them, we have seen so many contests on India Forums, which were done slightly differently to each other.
In the majority of the contests (stories, singing, micro tales, photography), once the competition is over, winners and non winners happily shared the same space and published their work next to each other and appreciated each other's work.
In any of these cases, sharing the space by winners and non winners was never considered as disrespectful or insulting to either the winners, voters, or judges.
In case of a banner contest, there is only one space for the banner, so that is the only place where winners and non winners can showcase their work.
Along with the above reasons, we also have considered
- Over the years, the participation is getting lower and lower, the graphicers are not coming back to submit banners second or third time or even first time, the votes are getting divided between the entries from the same graphicer.
- Our contestants come from different walks of life and with different emotional mind sets. Certainly everyone is putting some effort in making the entries.
- We celebrate R U OK day, Mental health week or month, various equality days and we also talk about inclusiveness and appreciation to brighten someone's day on various occasions.
This new idea is to give a small window to runners up and non winners to showcase their work.
That is all folks.
Cheers..
