I literally LIVE for such meltdowns

the ending with shreya's version of the title song made me so emotional. any other singer would not be able to invoke this kind of emotion. People call her overrated but no one can sing these types of songs better than her. She is where she is for a good reason.

also, ahaan will take best debut award next year and I won't even be mad because it is well earned.

Saiyaara is heavily inspired by the korean movie 'A Moment to Remember', even that is a love story and in the film the leading female character has early onset alzheimers and loses her memory, that movie was much more realistic and showed the true heartbreaking consequences of alzheimers. This is a bollywood film so obviously it will be lighter and filmy.

So yeh saiyaara is not a completely original story

Early-onset Alzheimer has become a trope in movies...I know of more than five movies with different stories which deal with this problem. So, the idea to use this trope doesn't hinder that it is still an original story.
