LOL well short answer for this is that he has never shared EVERYTHING about Jhanak with Arshi cuz he will never fully trust Arshi on that front no matter how much goody goody drama she does.

My guess is he didn't tell Arshi in advance before going there cuz he was just looking to delay her reaction until she saw the setup there for herself....he probably thought ki agar abhi se bataya toh Didi will start her screaming about you secretly went to visit J and hid from me blah blah and wahaan jaake directly Jhanak as kisi aur ki wife dekhegi toh shayad isko chain mil jaayega.
