If your relationship disintegrates, it is between you and your partner. No third person can cause it to break if there were no pre-existing cracks. It is always easier to believe that your partner was perfect and the other woman was the issue. Because if the problem was with your partner, then it reflects on your relationship and that is an admission of your own failure as well. I think Sam is far too dignified for such ugly talk. If at all anyone has to counter, it has to be the lady’s ex because whatever happened was between them. This whole thing feels very motivated and orchestrated, this targeting of Sam out of the blue!
