Yes unfortunately that is what is looking like. This week I think the trps will bounce back to 1.9 and who knows maybe 2.0. Next week it might go to 2.0 and stay there and I feel the audience does like toxicity and that is why Imlie makers had to pick up this track. The nibbi fans are okay with Surya as it is Sai only and twitter is full of new edits. Only if the core audience reject this track we can hope for some changes but if the core audience has accepted this storyline then the creatives will proceed with the track even if we don't like it.

Other SP shows have bigamy tracks, infidelity tracks, and the wife being the maid of the house, male leads slapping the female lead. Unfortunately Imlie entered their leagues too now.

Pehle despite a lower rating, Imlie would have been a progressive show. Abhi toh dekha bhi nahi ja raha.

Gul's shows had good bhabi devar scenes as well. Even in Imlie earlier we saw quite normal relationship between Imlie and Karan. Season 1 was good in this department as well. Gul's earlier shows like IPKKND, IB had good relationship. Haan Imlie season 2 se change hua shayad. But then in season 2 they showed one sided romance of the devar. Bhabi was not interested. Yahan toh. 😣

IPK had one of the beautiful relationships. It was so full of positivity. Pata nahin why the audience loves to see the heroine in misery. Itna sadistic kaise ho sakte hain audience. The trp topper show actually fell to 1.9 when they showed the FL moving away to live independently even though her justifications was all twisted and she was playing the victim card. They again got the FL be a punching bag to her ex-in-laws and bam the trp went up to 2.8. Ab kya hi bole. I am dreading the trps will increase this week which means the creatives will continue with this ghatiya story line.

I’m not gonna lie, I even miss his accent. I haven’t watched Sai’s previous shows so at first it was interesting to see him in this new avatar. And it was easier to enjoy his scenes when I thought Surya was Agastya.

From what y’all have shared, he managed to make the distinction between Surya and his past South Indian characters as well, which is good for him. But it’s so weird how despite that, they’ve decided to give him such a darker foundation shade. The rain scene really made the contrast clear.

I miss Imlie as well, whether it’s the styling or the daily bezzati, she looks like such a majbhoor bechari. They took away her spunk and made her a punching bag for the Chaudhary’s and Surya. She used to stand up for others, whether it be Sonali or Nyonika, yet here she’s burdened by Agastya’s promise so she won’t even help herself.

It’s such a sad sight to see after the beautiful journey we got to experience with Imlie and Agastya. The retro vibes, the music and the aesthetics were a complement, they were the heart and soul.

@bold1:- Yes I was also okay with watching Surya earlier when I thought he was Agastya with or without memory loss. But now the creatives are making sure to establish him as an independent character and I am not able to take it. I just can't seem to enjoy it as now the story is trending into the forbidden territory of Bhabhi - BIL relationship.

@bold2 :- Yeah the journey was so good and I was hoping to see lot more growth in both Imlie and Agastya and both of them filling each other lives with love and happiness. The retro vibes were the best but now all that is left is some shadow of a show. Sigh.

People stopppp!!!!! I never even revised so quickly for my exams as quickly I am going about the posts.

What was there not to like today?

We all knew Shivani will buckle under the pressure, and Imlie shall confess.. So wahi hua.. At least I am happy that the story is moving forward..

Regarding Daadi and Binni's taane.. Frankly at this point, Daadi is like that evil stepmother in the usual fairytales, and Binni is the daughter, and step-sister who pushes and pulls and makes the life of the main gal tough.. And obviously Imlie is going through her first part of the Cindrella phase.. Aaj toh proper wahi vibes thi. ghar ka kaam karo.. pocha karo etc.. etc..

And in terms of Surya, I am not bothered at the moment.. He can be Auggy with memory loss or actual Surya, as far as they aren't showing any love angle between him and Imlie, he could be the evil second step-sister, for all I care..

I am cool.. I am calm.. I am fine. (right now)..

But might not be able to spread more positivity today.. office work, someone else might have to take optimism ke shots..

Ohk let me list out things I didn't like today.

1. Dadi trying to be sweet to Imlie so she can take fayda of her achai. See how she tried to be manipulative.

2. Imlie not caring about her self respect for this ehsaan faramosh family.

3. Them treating her like a maid without thinking how much it would hurt their dead grandson. They are doing a lot of things out of spite against her. Taking Jugnu away so she does the ghar ka Pura kaam alone. Isn't she the maid of Surya so why this family is giving her orders.

4. Making Imlie saying those songs and make light of the situation was not funny. This is like she is accepting toxic behavior towards her.

5. Surya observing all this and still bothering her more. I understand he has doubts on her but then don't do these silly things. Behave like a cop and get to the truth.

6. Surya trying to force the truth out of Chutki even after seeing how badly she was traumatized after seeing that man.

7. Him ignoring Imlie saying that she didn't murder Raghu. I think they showed him more angry that Imlie murdered Raghu than being upset that his BIL has actually died.

8. Making Binni give orders to Imlie. Can we atleast pack her off?

Now you tell me one good thing that happened in today's episode???

Its better if we don't apply any logic for this show anymore. We are going back to Satyavan Savitri. Woh chodo. Surya who is the new lead uske character ka koi consistency nahi hain. Imlie also knows that Binni is Rashmi. So why is she not digging further and getting this girl out of the house. What is the point of getting insulted every day by Binni. What muharat is Imlie waiting for to parda farsh Binni ka secret. When she gives birth to the baby ? that is so lazy writing. The show needs a vamp so Binni is there and the FL is okay standing there being majboor while being insulted by Binni.

Only this show is giving bhar bhar ke regressive content.

I don't watch any of those shows so can't comment in detail. Even if they show ML being supportive one can't ignore the fact that the male lead has hidden his marriage from his family and his wife is living in his house as a maid. Just coz the female lead is given a voice and ML supports her career, the shows don't become progressive.

Even if the female lead gives back to the male lead and he regrets it immediately, you can't deny the fact that this was domestic abuse. He literally slapped her before both families. The audacity to do that itself and show this on national TV to grab eyeballs is something.

Imlie ke low ratings are attributable to the death of Agastya and not due to regressive tracks. Imlie always had progressive thoughts being shown. The social tracks and tidbits was really good and made the show different.

The show has become highly negative right now. Imlie always had spunk and was always fighting against wrong thoughts of the family. She was never afraid to take a stand for Nyonika or Chutki or Bulbul. That Imlie is now completely missing. The dressing is drab, the banter and charm of Imlie is missing after Agastya died. The ratings are falling due to these reasons. I'm not sure if the next week will bring trps because the show is all toxic right now. This is the only show I watch apart from Shark tank. I don't want the show to be ruined for trp. I hope they stop with the regressive content. It is getting too much to take.
