Whenever I rewatch edits or scenes with Agastya, I really miss his calm collected nature. He carried such class and his trauma never made him cruel towards anyone.

I’m not gonna lie, I even miss his accent. I haven’t watched Sai’s previous shows so at first it was interesting to see him in this new avatar. And it was easier to enjoy his scenes when I thought Surya was Agastya.

From what y’all have shared, he managed to make the distinction between Surya and his past South Indian characters as well, which is good for him. But it’s so weird how despite that, they’ve decided to give him such a darker foundation shade. The rain scene really made the contrast clear.

I miss Imlie as well, whether it’s the styling or the daily bezzati, she looks like such a majbhoor bechari. They took away her spunk and made her a punching bag for the Chaudhary’s and Surya. She used to stand up for others, whether it be Sonali or Nyonika, yet here she’s burdened by Agastya’s promise so she won’t even help herself.

It’s such a sad sight to see after the beautiful journey we got to experience with Imlie and Agastya. The retro vibes, the music and the aesthetics were a complement, they were the heart and soul.

Even in Gul’s own show, in IB, she had Rudra and Omkara be like brothers to Annika. Their bond was so wholesome and cute.

They had so many beautiful scenes where they defended and helped her. Even when Shivaay didn’t give her the izzat as his biwi, they called her bhabhi with such pride.

Granted, they grew up with Shivaay. But still, if this is Surya who got emotional looking at Agastya’s baby pictures, you’re telling me he doesn’t understand how wrong it is to do that to his own twin brother’s wife?

Is it going to help Malti heal from her loss? Imlie has already lost so much, why take away the only thing that’s allowing her to even breathe right now. Malti still has him and his mother, plus Raghu wasn’t even a good man. Imlie has no one and nothing to her name, only her love for her Babu.

This is what makes Surya so different from Imlie’s Babu. No matter what Vishwa did, Agastya never once thought to take revenge. He only took back what was rightfully his but he never tried to harm him or his family. His moral compass was always in the right place. He’s made many mistakes but he also repented the moment he realized. Imlie was right, he doesn’t even compare to August Babu’s pinky finger. They expect us to forget this character they made us love and accept this guy as the new lead?

Which is crazy, because I still enjoy the new andaaz Sai has brought with the character. But at a certain point, the shtyle marna loses its effect and we need something of substance to actually root for the new character. At the moment, I’m finding it very hard to like Surya. His chemistry with Imlie is only nice to watch because Sai and Adrija set the screen on fire when they’re together. There’s nothing about him alone that we could find enticing, there’s no kashish.

Omru always shipped Shivika before they even married and were so positive and supportive to Annika.

Surya as a character does not even compare to the nail of Agastya, pinky finger toh door hi baat hai. I have enjoyed the swag of Surya and his fun and chill roop but I can't like him anymore when he tortures Imlie. He knows how much she loves Agastya, his dead brother and the pains she is going through just to keep her promise to him. I can see if he is upset about Raghu ka death and wants to avenge it but as a Cop the least you can do is properly investigate the murder and not just blindly pin the blame on Imlie when she is denying the murder charge. Who are you to take the law in your own hands anyway.

Chemistry pe hi nai chalta show yaar. I can't watch the show even for Sai playing Surya amazingly well. His character does not have any endearing qualities like Agastya. Even when Agastya made mistakes I would defend him because I knew he had his heart in the right place and would never hurt anyone knowingly.

After giving us such a beautiful story for Agastya-Imlie, do the makers think they can replace them with Surya-Imlie and we will accept? Itne fickle lagte hai hum kya?

The Chaudharys are going to temple. So based on BTS Amrit is also around them so maybe he is the one who is blackmailing binni that's why he would have come there to meet her.

Imlie ne toh confession mein sab sach hi bola except danda marne wala part that Raghu was already stabbed by knife before she reached him . Now if Surya isn't believing on her innocence then it's a setting for hate marriage kind of thing.

Also shayad Raghu ki body na mile which will further prove Imlie as liar in Surya eyes

The Monty actor gives villain vibes with his light coloured eyes so I don't think he will be exposed soon .

Galti se bhi yeh week trp increase kar gayi from 1.8 to 1.9 and then next week 2 then samaj jana audience ko toxicity hi pasand aati hai and that's what Imlie makers are serving

This show currently doesn't even look like a Gul show. I have never seen any Gul FL so bechari and majboor.. I have never seen any Gul show so toxic. Never seen any Gul show so serious devoid of any comedy. Comedy is the trademark of Gul shows. Also I have never seen entire family so toxic in any Gul show.

As I said, Imlie currently stands to be the worst show of SP. Now I think it's not just SP but the entire ITV.

In the midst of everything, I find the ML not helping the FL at all. And this is frustrating. He is just obtuse.

There was a time where everyone in the Chaudhary family was too nice, we said we needed one person who was morally corrupt or grey.

They made Dadi paltao after the Kairi-Dhanraj reveal but even then it seemed like she lost her mind because of the sadma.

Now they’re all just horrible people with no conscience or thoughts of their own. Like a hive mind, stuck on one thing, never allowing themselves to think differently.

I don't understand why are you all saying SP has interfered with the storyline?

When all other shows on SP deal with women empowerment why will SP force Imlie to follow this storyline? No it's not SP it's Gul's team.

Many shows show humiliation of FL as well. But FL doesn't stay mum. She speaks and often rudely. Nothing is being shown like that in Imlie.

I see quite a few SP shows and know the storyline of the most thanks to IG videos. But in no show the storyline is like this? How did the show become so backward and regressive? Also Gul's shows are never like that.

Romance serve Karo in any form between the leads ,some audience will lap it up.

When Meera left, Agastya said that he’ll become her family but then he died on their actual wedding day. She lost the only family she had again and the Chaudhary’s have not apnao-ed her either. What did he genuinely expect? That she’d come home after his death, Binni Tinni would leave and that they’d all welcome her with open arms?

Dadi was so adamant to get him away from Imlie, he knew what her state of mind was before he left. Even if Binni was a good person, did he think Dadi was going to let her go after seeing him perform a wedding with full rituals with her?

How could he have been so naive to believe that? Somewhere in his mind, he must’ve realized that his situation mirrored Dhanraj in his family’s perspective.

Surya is a stranger, woh to karega apni mann maani, we apparently can’t even expect insaniyaat from him. But Agastya’s family, the most ehsaan faramosh people, we can’t even expect them to have some consideration for their own Gattu’s feeling. They were absolutely fine with seeing Agastya miserable when he was alive if it meant they could keep their victim card. And now that he’s dead, they’re going to make sure that the love of his life gets disrespected every day in their presence.

Every time, I see Agastya’s family humiliate and mistreat Imlie, I can’t help but be mad at him. He was supposed to give her the love & family she yearned for her entire life. Instead, he left her with this emptiness and endless pain.

@bold:- See hindsight I don't think even Agastya thought that his family would turn out to be like this. That they would not trust on Imlie. He knew that he did a big mistake by leaving Imlie at the altar on their marriage day when the truth was out. He promised the world to her but he did give her a stabbing wound by leaving her at the altar. Agastya as a character is someone who tries to rectify his mistake asap and that is what he tried to do. He tried to marry Imlie and promise her his everything whole heartedly. He did not think that he would die in the next 30 mins. In fact when Imlie was paranoid he told her that he would not leave her so easily.

I feel Imlie is equally responsible for her misery state. Granted Agastya wanted Imlie to be there for his family but Imlie should also know that this family is a lost cause and she should move on. Didn't Agastya tell her to complete all her dreams too. So why is Imlie so hell bent on serving this thankless family because Agastya asked her equally to live her life and fulfill her dreams.

In all I feel the writers cheated us out of a very good story where the leads support each other and are positive. I don't know if SP interfered in the plot or not but I am totally hating this show because the show I feel in love with was so wholesome with every day a good retro song played and with good positive family vibes. This show now is just too gloomy.

At this point I really want Agastya to come back from the dead, give a mukka to everyone, take his Imlie and go away forever. And then end the show. Bas if the writers cannot weave the story with Agastya and Imlie then simply end the show with them.
