Let's get real about what's bold and difficult. Is it even a risk if you're just rolling with the punches because you don't have safe options? That's survival, not boldness. Difficult, to me, is when you're at the top or starting out, and you do roles that could either tank your career or blow up. Now, that's a risk. Deepika going for Chhapaak or Piku? Risky. Kareena in Chameli and Dev? Those were risks. Doing films with Hansal Mehta or Sujoy Ghosh now? Not so much. Rani in Black? Risky (maybe, Bhansali was a big deal). Mardaani and Hichki? Not so risky. Same goes for Priyanka, Kangana, and Vidya in their offbeat roles. But Alia? She's been rolling the dice since Highway.
I can enumerate every movie I watched with her in a prominent role...so, you know how much I cherish her screen presence and skills :)
I almost never can reply to a question of "favourite"...not even with meals or chocolate or drinks...
(not even with cars as I like Porsche and also Ford Transit bus)

Vidya doesn't fall in this category. She can't do romantic roles and especially not glamorous ones. Parineeta was the only romantic role she was believable in and that was her debut.
Oh so Hichki wasn’t difficult and risky ? I get it .. you are an Ashu janoo fan right ?Originally posted by: FatalFlaw

You mean Kjo's loaded dice catered specifically for her? The dice that he rolls for her each time since even holding Alia's hand, she couldn't roll it herself.

Perfect answer from a perfect fan. I'd love to hear who you think are SRK's best leading ladies one day.
Kiara advani is good at comedy and glamorous roles. She can do romantic roles too. She was good in Guilty which was a complicated role. I think she has potential.

I have not seen Guilty but it looks good after I searched it up. I'll have to check it out now. I was impressed with her in Satya Prem Ki Katha which I thought was her best role so far.
I mentioned this in another thread but Madhuri Dixit for Maja Ma. Going into the movie, I had no idea that its premise was that she was playing a closeted lesbian mother of two.
It's so rare to see any major actress play a LGBT role in Bollywood. Younger actresses like Sonam Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor are comfortable doing so, but to see someone of Madhuri's stature, once India's biggest female star and on par with the Khans during the 90s, to play such a role is truly trailblazing imo. In comparison, I couldn't see the Khans, Hrithik, or Akshay play a gay or trans character.

Why does he not take on roles where he plays the leads dad/older brother? Similar to what Kader Khan was for him in the 90's. That's surely...
So many I can name that qualify for stiff and sleepwalking characteristics: - Queen Aishwarya Rai - Katrina Kaif - Deepika Padukone - Jahnvi...
