This is why I mentioned his situational poverty. It wasn't a dig at the character or anything. The writer mention it nonstop. His financial situation is one of his character traits. They speak more about that than anything else on the show. At the same time he participated and benefited in a horrible lie that separated a family, but he shows no remorse. As if his financial situation is why he is allowed not have a moral compass.

ITV FL rarely get character development or an arc. The only time it happens is during a separation track, but writers choose to use her shipping material rather than as the female lead. She had no growth as a character or mother. Even her makeup and styling are worse. Honestly, it's a first for me I have never seen this happen before.

Lying and hiding r AK core traits which she's obviously passing to the next generation 😉 nd Nav is giving her a helping hand

I find AkshNav boring coz they tried selling same old in new packaging but the packaging filmsy

I could point out a lot of things that r wrong with Nav...like you mentioned his sense of right nd wrong is so off...he can go bhai ji bhai ji nd feel sorry for AbhiM but he was the one who found AK in the state 6 years ago...yet he can't stop going bhaiji

He's extremely clingy, doesn't know or understand or respect boundaries, really insecure as a person, seems to fall weak in difficult situations, needs mollycoddling nd an ego boost all the time, loves to get up his moral high ground which is extremely flawed

I don't understand this glorification of having limited means that ITV goes about, how is it that no episode goes without a mention of the Sharma's financials nd yet that shouldn't be a topic of discussion in the forum.....how is it that poor=good and rich=bad....the lack of growth mindset, no ambition is not something to be applauded at all...no matter what profession u r in if u don't think of upskilling urself then that's bad... nobody in this world chooses to be poor...if you could you'd want all the riches nd live a comfortable life

I just disagree. The entire premise of their "family" is keeping a family apart lol. Being sweet to each other doesn't change the fact that they colluded to keep a father away from his son so they can live together with no consequences. Actions speak louder than words. That's where the writers constantly fail with this leap. The writers constantly tells us with dialogues about their "family" being a "family" but then show the complete opposite. A six year old is desperately praying and looking for his real father, but neither "parent" feels any remorse or guilt towards their "son."

I don't think it's fair to mock her for making jam, but her lack of ambition especially for a mother with a sick child isn't something to be applauded either. It's 2023 there is no reason to show a expecting mother with means and intelligence living with a stranger she met on the bus. It was completely unrealistic and misogynistic way to bring Abhinav into the story. He could've been introduced without diminishing her to this point. Before Abhimanyu solved her problems for her then Abhinav. Now, both men are doing it.

Honestly, the blame for that lies with the writers. The leap is basically the rich suitor poor suitor trope love triangle. Other than his hand-me-down scenes, his situational poorness, and his magically ability to make family members appear as a orphan with no surname what does he have? He is boring.

To be fair, all ITV couples have the same template because all ITV shows are the same. The only difference is the chemistry. For me, they had better chemistry as a couple. They still do. Some pairs are interesting while others are boring.

Every ITV couple is forced and rushed because TRP system runs the show. She had no POV of her falling in love, but the confession happened because TRP was stagnate.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I was just curious, but it seems I got in the middle of a fanwar.

You know what's funny and interesting. Abhinav calling himself poor and middle class almost every second episode and yet you can't pinpoint him to it with out moral policing in the forum

You've honestly pinpointed everything clearly in this thread what I have been feeling just unable to properly articulate at times about this show and the characters.

In regards to the FL dressing and pov its been sorely lacking from the start of the show. Its just gotten even worse during this leap. Sometimes I feel the Makers/writers really do not care about Akshara as a character or they really wanted to show a FL being this clueless and a calamity in her own decision making.

Not tagging anyone just replying coz doesn't want to create another thread but reason why i feel this ship isn't working atleast for me are as follows:

1. Didn't like how Abhinav as a character was introduced.

2. Abhinav have zero personality, zero growth mindset

3. He calls himself acha aadmi- this is something that other people should call him and not the other way around.

4. He says bhai ji ko bta dena chahiye and all but he never felt sad- or even flinch a little while calling Abhir mera beta in front of AbhiM even after knowing that AbhiM ki dukhti rag- though AbhiM deserves it but still. Only preaches doesn't follow

5. Was no less than a man child with unrealistic inferiority complex during custody battle. The past 6 years were easy anybody can stay calm, happy, nicely what support to Akshu? Problem kya thi? But one problem arises and we saw what we saw. Hence, couldn't able to understand the he supported me all these years jaap too. (Timeline: post Abhir birth)

6. In the past 15 days days i.e 375 minutes approx of screen time. The said couple had hardly 20-30 minutes of screen time together.

7. Except for a few scenes here and there(almost kiss- ak seems uncomfortable(maybe PR acting issue) but seems, one song for him, hand holding, and a quick teo minutes of kitchen scene recently) i don't know which show people are watching i see zero chemistry between the characters.

8. Ak confession for him, the director gave the scene to- Abhira with there BGM- doesn't make sense to me

9. When i hardly see them together why should I beleive that they are a couple, why and more importantly how should I ship them.

10. He has clearly made being middle class his whole personality. Hum middle class hain ji. Never heard anyone from my entire family ever said anything like that. Sabko pta hai.

Maybe it's only me but I don't get the happy family, my heavenly abode, safe safe vibe from navra- they say, try to rub it in our face but the director has failed to show us the same.

And i don't want to ship something i am not seeing.

If you do not like something you have the option to skip it

I do not like I am the doctor character so skipped when he comes on the screen to save my time and energy to watch him and then vent out my frustration

Writers will give you carrots 🥕 whether you want to run after it or not is your choice but after running we should play victim card

Sometimes I feel like they are showing it on purpose that this Kasauli family does not make sense. I always get the feeling with the way they keep repeating certain "lies" or "lines" over and over again that somehow this repeating is going to make it real or the truth when it is far from it.

The constant "mera beta" and the "you are his father".

Sure Abhinav is a step father and he loves Abhir but that does not negate Abhi as being the bioloigcal father and Abhir being Abhi's son and is a Birla.

Lol there are no scenes of Abhinav Akshara together to skip. Ab 10 second kya skip krna.

Also, on a serious note what if i watch and then decide to come and share my two cents regarding the story, characters, my theories, my preference, etc on a public forum meant to discuss all of these things.

How is this wrong and how does just skip it is a justified as a solution.

I didn't like Abhimanyu's doing so i made posts on that discussed with like minded people as well as whose thoughts varies from mine. Now I have my points on Abhinav and Akshara so doing it. I think this what this forum is about and it should be fine

Maybe. They do sometime highlight on how AbhiM Akshu and Abhir are a family too ref today's episode blessing.

But I am more inclined to the fact that these well paid directors are not doing their job properly. 😂

I chalk it up to let's make both "families" vague so the Makers can continue sailing on both ships and hope to get both teams TRPs.

Problem is, it isn't working. People want them to simply pick the side so one side can officially quit 😆 But writers have to first bring people back to normal and set the stage for the official who picks who.

We are slowly leading up to it. With Abhir suddenly wants to try and find his real father again and Akshara’s confession of love to whom?
