Aloo is a decent actress! Perhaps a bit more natural and somewhat wider range. But Deepika isn’t that far off. She just didn’t get as great scripts. She did get good ones.

I haven't read much about the Peshwas' barbarism though, they wanted to gain their territory back from the Mughals so of course ruthlessness and all warrior like qualities must have been necessary. They certainly weren't going to other territories and skinning, burning people alive when those people refused to convert their religion.

The actual Indian subcontinent history is lost due to propaganda from both sides, which I do not want to get into as it gets heated.

Alia is good actress for BW standards, forget Kdrama even Cdrama & Thai dramas they also have amazing talented actresses they might not be nepo.

Waiting for this to be quoted by ek jiski bahut...🤣

Again, you are living in an alternate astraverse. She was also bad in Kalank itself, Sadak 2, Brahmastra she got horrible reviews for and also that funny item song she did in SOTY-2 where she was mocked. She doesn’t have a perfect career. Far from it.

For most people they just want to support certain actors because it’s the “popular” thing to do. Or they’re reading 4-5 PR articles and they think that’s the gospel truth. Herd mentality basically. People don’t really think for themselves anymore

If there’s one thing Sadak2 and Brahmstra reviews have shown us is that Alia is only as good as the scripts. Without her last name KJo wouldn’t have picked her and without KJo there wouldn’t have been a Highway, an Udta Punjab, and a Raazi. There wouldn’t have been a Gangubai or a Dear Zindagi. And since she’s short, has a baby face, has no sex appeal, and no dancing ability she wouldn’t have been able to follow in Katrina’s foot steps either. Even if she had somehow made it into the industry she would be where Kriti Kharbanda in terms of fame and popularity.

In Alia’s own words, her biggest struggle was telling KJo and Abhishek Varman that she’ll be very upset with them if they don’t cast her in Kalank. So I don’t get how she’s a hustler. She’s an entitled privileged industry kid who’s been extremely fortunate to have Karan Johar use his positions to get the best scripts for her and aggressively market her. As an outsider she would have never had that privilege.

100% agree with this

You are very good with your observations and you put across your thoughts really well

She would have still made it. She seems one who doesn’t give up. And they succeed anyway.

I just feel people underestimate how hard it is as an outsider. People get rejected for the slightest reason: diction being off, too tall, too short, not Indian looking enough, etc. Knowing some agents at talent agencies. There are millions of girls waiting right now. Some have graduated from the best acting schools.

The casting couch is there. I am not sure if people call Aloo cunning. They mean she would go that far. Didn't mean to bring it up.

Doesn't give up? How would you know. The girl has never dealt with any hardships when it came to Bollywood, all she does is pout and beg Karan to give her a role and gets its. So how would we know she doesn't give up. Aish even said it herself, Alia gets given everything. Honestly the don't give up type is the likes of Priyanka, but Alia? PLEASE!!

That’s why I have always thought it’s good they are together. I don’t know why some feel bad for Alia for being with RK when she’s worse. If Alia wasn’t with RK then some innocent girl’s life would’ve been ruined for being with RK. Besides Alia herself wanted him and is okay with it. I think it’s better a bad person like Alia has to deal with him.
