I am late with my views, because exams going on at the moment and lots of marking of scripts going on.

Episode 20:

We saw that Rama and Babli can be very good at playing the innocent when it comes to protecting Anokhi, that is the motherly instinct in them, albeit later on Rama would take the responsibility of Anokhi's escapade.

Vicky, despite having no relation took care of Rami when the latter fell down, that was son in lawesque.

I liked the fact that Rami had the guts to tell the Khannas off despite being in a situation of 'shame'. His expression when he heard Monty's words made me think, did he regret having taken the decision to marry Anokhi off or is he angry that someone managed to get the mobile phone and thus hearing Monty's words helped Anokhi to run away. Rami must have felt ashamed when a neighbour said it is good the girl ran away, else they would have married her off to the drunkard.

Jolly Makhan in his own way did tell Shaurya off for uttering such nonsense and told him in a roundabout way, you are to be blamed for this...

Shaurya is so sweet, realising that Makhan was hugry and stopping to get something for him. Shaan did say something about Shaurya being just like his mother and cannot see others suffering, that was when Anokhi's shoes flew on Shaurya...

There is such thing called fate and today we saw it, Shaurya helping his Anokhi run away from her cell to him in his car... Oh... such a romantic start.....

I'm so far behind on my rewatch. Finally saw Episode 20!!

Our runaway bride finally got out!! I loved that as she was leaving she left a sweet prayer with her Mata rani that "Mere papaji ko samjhana aur mere mummyji ka kayal rakhna". Eventually her dad does understand and her mom gets a stable life. Also, I'm so proud of Babli for exposing Monty in front of everyone. Shokhi should be embarrassed as well for participating in the conversation. It was amusing to see Mr. Bhalla call out the Khannas as well.

The entire hit and miss of Shakhi makes me real salty. I've always wanted them to know about it all. From Anokhi hiding in the trunk to Shaurya unknowingly saving her. I loved Shaurya not listening to Vineet, name dropping the local SI's name, and basically shutting him up. Why didn't Vineet and Shaurya recognize each other later at SIAC? So many pieces of this puzzle would have been brought together if only Makkan Singh was still around and would've recognized Anokhi!!

Mast malang tu sequence was great!! Again apt lyrics! Whoever was responsible for choosing music for this show deserves all the praise!!

"Rang ja apne hi rang tu
Hoja apne hi sang tu
Bana le choti si duniya
Hoja mast malang tu
Bol hu, bol hu, bol hu, bol hu, bol hu"

Side note:

~ In the time that Anokhi packed, it might have been useful to change into something more practical than her shaadi ka joda.

~ Just want to make an observation that, Shaurya Sabherwal lied to his Badi Ma!

~ Between Shaurya's white lie about the car breaking down and Anokhi's prayer to Mata rani, the car had to stop; the whole kainaat was listening!

Precap: ShaKhi train ride!

I'm in the same boat. It was end of my semester and everything just piled high. Now I'm enjoying some time off before the new semester starts! Do you teach? What do you teach?

I was also really happy to hear Ramesh Bhalla have the guts to tell off the Khannas. I didn't see much remorse in him, just embarrassment.

I loved seeing Shaurya and Makkan's equation. It was so cute. The way they take care of each other. We needed more Makkan!!

Now, that my joy has calmed down...

So wonderful to see that all the mehnat Vickey, Babli and Rama did actually worked. Getting Anokhi out was hard yet very well done. That 'almost' moment with Raja...phew!!! And yet even after all she has been put though, she looked back and asked for an apology and wished her mother well. She is quite forgiving!

To run with a suite case and in that attire! I am happy they showed her struggling for air because bhaiya...mushkil hota hai bahut!!! The almost near escapes had me like....argggghhhhh

Monty and his mote dimaag wale parents, even now trying to see what maximum money they could get. I was glad for once Bhalla senior put his foot down. Though it was not for nikki but money. Babli is a genius, she was so damn smart with the recording. She needs more credit. The world realised Anokhi's value but the men in her life still did not!

Foreshadowing...and the almost hit and miss of shaurya and anokhi. Making this kahani beautiful. She hid in his car and he saved her. That hand on the trunk stopping it from opening, felt that he would always stand between her and trouble (and he did, multiple times ❤️ ) This is where it begins, the tryst with destiny. The unknown collision. Again. This serendipitous touch has all my heart 💓

Side note 1 : Shaurya thought about Aastha's words, I think they impacted her. We all know he is a smart man who is not manipulated easily. So did the doubts start here?

Side note 2 : I found him so hot in today's getup. Hot! Hot! Hot! 🔥

Anokhi is too forgiving. She forgave her parents, forgave Anmol and the twins for ragging, and even forgave Priyanka for framing. People are surprised she forgave Shaurya for library and later sindoor shaadi. She just forgives too much and too easily!

Everything you said about the foreshadowing.........100% 👏. This is a start of a wonderful love story!

I will forever be salty that Shaurya doesn’t know that he played a part in Anokhi’s escape. Maakhan where are you at??

Righttttttttttttt. I'm forever pissed about this. Makkan didn't recognize Anokhi because she was not in the bridal outfit. But how did Shaurya not recognize Vineet later when they met during that admission confrontation. Shaurya knows Anokhi ran away from a wedding and never put together the timeline of their train ride together with her being the bride who ran way. Forever salty!!

Our society is such that all these practices are made to look normal as women usually submit to their circumstances and men are given the freedom to get away with ill practices. When there is opposition from girls like Anokhi, they are looked down as a blot to the society. The word feminist is misinterpreted in a very wrong way and most ppl look at feminists as suppressing men instead of women who fight for equal rights for both.

Who knew that mr Shaurya Sabherwal will provide her an escape route and also saves her from being caught only to be with her later? The scene between Makhan and Ss is very sweet and gives us a brief account of a kind heart which Ss possesses inspite of the tough demeanour he presents to the world.

Happy to see that at least the guests were sensible enough to have realised what wrong senior Bhalla was about to do when babli played the conversation on the phone. I wonder what Mr Bhalla would’ve thought at that moment? He was definitely angry with the ladkewale for all their exorbitant demands but would there be any sense of happiness at all that his daughter did not fall into their trap?

Anokhi more than being happy is worried for her mother’s safety. What an overwhelmingly scary moment it would be for anyone in that situation knowing that her mother is in a toxic environment and has to face the repercussions of the happenings.

@bold: She was the neighbor that saw Rama being kicked out a few episodes earlier. I think she might be the mother of the girl that told Aastha about Anokhi's wedding. As for Biji, she's the type of woman that are the enemy of other women and has bought into the patriarchy because it benefits her now.

I hate when people misconstrue feminism. It's not anti-men; it's pro-women!! And the reason women need that is because most societies are not pro-women.

That Makkan scene with his Sir-ji was soooo cute. And then Shaurya looking out for his driver. It was all so lighthearted and without the intensity that most of the other Shaurya scenes have been so far.

Yo, we need a reboot of this show just so I'm no longer salty about the unresolved Makkhan Singh!! I think makers should do to SAAKK what Balaji did with Kitani Mohabbat Hai. They kept the leads and even their names Arjun and Aarohi, and built a new story around them.
