She took over the handling of the store because Vijay emotionally manipulated her giving her the title "Mere ghar ki bahu nahi mere beta hai tu" . For an orphan like Pallavi who never got the love of her parents Vijay and Sharda accepting her their widowed DIL like their own child had made her emotional and she actively took over the welfare of her in laws and responsibility of the handling of the store. It was emotional manipulation at its best.

For Pallavi the comparison is not needed because it's not really a bond for competition, both can coexist beautifully... I never compared them in my head, because Aai came first and she was always the mother for Pallavi for me, and I guess same goes for Pallavi, then came Jaya and she surprised me.. It never occurred to me that there is a possible comparison.. Because Jaya didn't really come across as that kind of character....

With Jaya things are liberal, because well Jaya herself chose her for his son who wronged her, the basis for this relationship itself put Pallavi on a higher pedestal... Not taking anything away from Jaya, but it is what is.. Pallavi didn't ask for it, they needed it.... Apart from the no burden part, it's the portrayal which makes huge difference, the subtlety, the lack of dhoom tanana drama in their equation, simple dialogues, no heavy melodrama or dialogues makes it more believable and endearing... We prefer simple, genuine and uncomplicated bonds..

However with Aai the emotions and drama elements have always been running high, and I couldn't breathe in the emotions of their bond... I always took notes of her being a typical mother like figure to her, and always believed she is her aai, like it's a natural thing.. But never really thought seriously about them or felt for aai because I don't know, maybe I am a sucker for subtle tones... But she was the aai for Pallavi, for me.. Somebody you can take for granted, somebody you can lash out at, somebody you can fight with, somebody with whom you don't to say things out aloud... That much was evident to me.. However VD ruined that equation, for them as well as for the audience... So no matter how hard Sharda fights for Pallavi or how she keeps on giving back to Sanki or how she keeps on supporting Pallavi in whatever humane way possible, the audience has seen enough to avoid all that...

Sharda and Pallavi have rights over each other, they have grown over fights, they have a certain depth which comes with time, they can expect from each other...

With Jaya it will take time to reach the serious stage... It's all nascent...

The complexity and OTTness of Deshmukh clan is heavy on mind, but it's little bit deeper also..... If Aai had what Jaya has, that is freedom to exert her choices, she would have done a lot of things for Pallavi... It's strange though nobody talks about money in discussions, it has played a huge role in the show though.....

Anyways coming to the point, the two cannot be compared, Jaya is cute and liberal, Aai is deep and conflicted... One has the means and the intent, the other is just trying in her own way... From Raghvi lens, Jaya is more acceptable right now.. Otherwise both are behaving well in their own limits currently according to the nature of their characters..

1) Sharda (for now) may be good but she is still mandhar 's mother. Lets not forget when Sharda walked out on VD in her own words she chooses children over her suhaag. She gives grades to her relationships. She did not support pallavi because it was the right thing to do but did it only because pallavi is her child and is on higher grade on Sharda's relationship grade o meter then. What happens when mandhar her actual child comes back would be interesting.

2) After raghavi wedding when Sharda confronts jaya. These are her words: I understand you Jaya ji, I know you are not at fault. I know how low a mother can fall for her son even if it sacrifices an innocent's life. I am waiting for Pallavi and mandhar's marriage story to come out. Sharda could be aware that mandhar is alive and has run away. It would explain so much of why she insists pallavi to not wear white and tries so hard to get Pallavi married. Her mummy /mummy ji wala love for Pallavi may be coming from a place of guilt for having wronged pallavi. I would be heart broken for Pallavi if this happens. Poor thing can't catch a break.

3) Her vishesh tippani to Pallavi regarding managing the mards - the less said the better. She is a very good manipulator and frankly if she was managing sanki for this long the woman is capable of anything. Pallavi would be better of when she stays away from Sharda.

When mandhar comes back and if he is sick wouldn't vd influence the mother Sharda to ask Pallavi to playact wife. Aai would of course come and ask for compensation for the love she gave pallu for the 2 years. Mere liye aaja pallu🤮

Imo, the reason Jaya gets the support from viewers even with all her faults is because she is transparent. She is who she is and there is not much fakeness there. On the other hand, we have Sharda who seems too good to be true. So can't see her love as true and standing the test of time.

Only hope I see is that Pallavi gets completely obsessed with whoever she thinks as family. She ignored her actual brother for so called dil ka rishta maayka. Now hopefully makers keep her in character and let her forget the old sasural cum maayka and let her focus on the actual sasural.

Exactly my point Sharda always felt manipulative to me as she so well manipulated Pallu that we even audiences were amazed but the trick is over now!! We can see inside her fake feelings and this truth will come out when Mandar returns and we will see her true love for Pallu and it will change and show its real face I am sure. Jaya always put Pallavi before her son and she loves her like her own daughter hell she pampers her.

Well would we see same love from Sharda when her beloved Mandar returns!! Let's see!!
