Did Virat ever consider if he had to do household chores when he was studying in college or doing ips training? When he didnt do it, why should Sai?? Just coz she has married and has responsibilities Sai has accepted it and Virat also "expects" it. sai does it more out of feeling indebted. she cant stay for free nah. Its like she is a PG/tenant but unfortunately for them she has the title of virats wife. So she is not "paying" to live and eat there but no one considers her family either. Also Virat is not factoring in that she is not a stay at home bahu who has time to do these things like pp or karishma. In that alta episode he said ghar ki aur bhi bahu kaam karti hai, so ghar ke kaam karne seh naukrani nahi ban gayi and Sai very aptly replies saying that she is NOT considered a bahu or family by them and no one does baat baat peh beizzati for other bahus.

I think one more reason mohit has judaav with Sai is that he has also been treated with same disdain like Sai is, like a second class citizen. He has done odd jobs in thr house with no appreciation unlike ghar ke chirag Virat and Samrat. He is actually emotionally invested in all the family members- devi, Ashwini, samrat, virat but no one pampers him. if you see, he cares deeply for everyone. He gave devi a hug, he wanted to do preparation for harinis bday, he was there to condole ashwini many times. And even for Virat. When Virat was dejected about Sai not returning he was there to suppprt him too. The brotherly bond of jeeva shiva is glorified but theres no emotional bond shown between Virat/mohit. Apart from that one hug when mohit was denied food- that also because Sai stood up. I dont think virat would have reacted if he had been there and Sai wasnt. Because mohit ke saath aise bartaav humesha hota tha.

Even though Sai treats aai, mohit, devi , shivani as her own mother, brother, sister n bua she doesn't feel welcome in this house. She always tells Virat "aapke" gharwaale. Because thats how she feels. They are not her family. She doesn't feel the warmth/apnapan with them and is always made to feel like not only an outsider but also a disliked one whom they hate. It must be so difficult to stay in a house where she is disliked, hated. Sai doesn't cry and break down but even her tears make no difference to these vultures. During chilli grinding they stood watching her in pain with no regret. Itnaa toh kisi stranger ke liye bhi hun karte. If we see they are doing a task and get hurt, we dont stand and mock them. Its ridiculous that this family of criminals is so casually whitewashed in the show without genuine regret/repentance on their side. Sonali may be the only character who has got 1-2 lines to show that she does see Sai's goodness/pain too- during mohit food denial and during virat pp khulasa. Bk has got a few lines acknowledging Sai's good qualities like- she is sherni, she doesn't back down , she doesn't lie etc. but its not said in a way that BK is praising/admiring her. Its more of acknowledging that these good qualities also cant make bk look past her hate.

I think Virat has grown up being blind to a lot of injustice happening in the family - be it with Ashwini, Devyani, Mohit or Shivani. An sort of an escapist attitude. So his inability to empathize with Sai is inline with his character.

I didn't know to sympathize with one character another character has to be put down. The post started well but how could the discussion continue without putting Virat down and making it Virat vs Sai.

I haven't lost a parent, yet, when Sai talked about having no one in the world, it touched a chord deep somewhere. My eyes couldn't help but become moist. The most heartbreaking thing was Sai asking Ashwini if she was a bad person.😢 Self-doubt can hit the strongest and best of people when they are in pain and desperately in need of support and understanding.

Coincidentally, I've seen a few people who are a bit like Sai - rebellious and quick to anger. They are the most misunderstood kind of people. To hide the pain of rejection, they put up an arrogant front even. Then they get judged all over again.

@bold beautifully put. I was just about to write the exact same thing. Have always seen and heard too. Loud and people quick to anger are the most misunderstood people. We even have a saying in my language about anger.

The anger is due to their tolerance level against wrongdoings. It gets bad when they get misunderstood and the person who is wrong is supported or goes scott free.

No, I don't think it turned in Virat vs Sai this time but we're just conveying what upsetted us, and we also understand why he did that. Pointing out flaws and pointing out how it affects the other one, isn't setting up Virat vs Sai. I do read most of the posts these people post, and most of them are neutral and so am I. When Sai does something wrong, we also call her out. It was about Sai's emotional state and Virat unable to understand her, her state. I don't really see that as putting Virat down, because that's his character arch - he's used to it, be it Mohit, Aai or Devi, it's normal to him. He's human, he has flaws, just like Sai, that's what I like about them.

I really wished that ghkpm would have a solid regret/repetence track for bk gang. Not once have they been shown have ANY guilt for their actions. Its terrible.

This is ofcourse true, but now I'm going to direct this at the makers. As a prime time and one of the top shows I feel they should acknowledge and adress this situation by Virat's character growth. They are really normalising all this by not calling it out and sending out wrong messages. Showing Sai's mental breakdown, deteriorating health, leading to Virat realising how she feels and that he has to be harsh with Kaku n gang. Or something else but they have to adress it.

I understand that its tough for virat as the ghar ka chirag n well meaning person to see the issue with the crimes/ill behavior of bk gang n pp because unlike Ashwini he has not borne the brunt of the "torture". This is actually the first time that thanks to his support to Sai that he has also been getting some "taane". By virtue of bring shielded by aai and going away for training he has actually been largely ignorant to the state of devi/aai/mohit. It is Sai's brashness n outspokenness that is forcing him to look and acknowledge what has always been there. Also its NOT like he shared bk/ninad and omi/sonalis attitude towards devi/mohit but he was not openly taking any sides. He loves his tainbut he blindly accepted everything told to him because he cant fathom that his ghar ke bade can be so wrong, so criminal, so inhuman. He is used to only playing peacemaker. But Sai often forces him to pick a side even though he tries hard not to😂
