Thanks for replying. I agree with your points. I think Shaurya is more ready to accept Aastha back into his life than we think. Aastha was not present all these years but her image was there. He could never really forget her or was not allowed to. She was present in the form of Shaan's pining and Devi's venom, but she was there. But the image was that of a selfish woman. Now with the arrival of Anokhi, the curtain of hatred is getting removed, even without his knowledge. What Anokhi put forward as a condition was actually somewhere at the back of his mind. I therefore think his guilt was not regarding his failure to follow Anokhi's condition but his failure to agree to see Aastha's side of the picture. He is feeling guilty because all these years he has hated and held only Aastha responsible for his miseries but there is a chance others were more at fault than her.

I love Aastha too. She may have made mistakes but she has taken her own decisions and stuck by them.

Shaan on the other hand 😕. I actually tried defending him a lot initially but now I have given up. He just shouts at Shaurya and Aastha as per convenience but never really takes any steps to remedy a situation. All these years Shaurya was with him but he could not give him love and attention making him feel like an orphan and now when Shaurya needs him, he feels his son will do whatever his wants so it is better not to talk. However Shaurya doesn't listen to Shaan only in matters concerning Aastha. At other times he actually considers his father's advice seriously. Shaan is perhaps too enamoured with Shagun and accepted her as his bahu. 😆

Agreed. Anokhi is just the push he needed. He himself was inclined, he does care, that's why he was looking for her and was relieved when she was found but his anger didn't let him meet her and he hid from her.

His guilt dialogue today was for Aastha only.

Out of all this mess the only person I am absolutely loathing is Shaan. The man has still not understood what His son wants. Shaurya has clearly said he loves Anokhi. When is Shaan going to understand that his actions has ruined both his son and his wife’s lives. Yes Shaan had a pathetic life too but when he grow a voice?
Yes they have lost Shaurya but still somewhere Astha has the fighting spirit if she sees any glimmer of hope with him. What about Shaan? He has lived with Shaurya, even if you don’t have a voice, do you really see no change in your son? How blind can this man be? I had really wished to see a change in Shaan supporting Shaurya but alas I don’t see that happening. He has had 0 growth and continue to go further down the drain.

Exactly! Aastha is strong, independent woman. She accepts her mistakes and even tries to rectify them. I love her responses to Shaan whenever he talks about their relation, ignoring Shaurya.

Shaan still wants Aastha to be back in his life, so why is it difficult to understand his son? What did he actually do as a father that he shouts at Shaurya? Nothing. How difficult it'd be for a kid to see that his dad can't even spend time with him. Despite that, Shaurya kitna acha beta hai, always caring towards his dad.

Yes, Shaan ke liye Shagun is the one for Shaurya

Ek toh he isn't fighting for his son's happiness, on top of that, he expects the same from Aastha too🤣What makes him think that Aastha will agree to whatever he says?😆

Exactly!

The way he spoke to Aastha today is nail on the coffin for me. I am done with him!

Shaan thinks Shaurya has no emotions. Perhaps even Shagun knows Shaurya better than him. 😆

I don't understand why they are ruining Shaan's character. It would be better if they showed him to be a misogynist from the beginning instead of a lovelorn Devdaas. Then his present character would have made more sense. If Shaan feels it is so easy to marry someone and keep loving another, he should have divorced Aastha 25 years ago and married another. I am sure Aastha would not have contested it.

He had a lot of potential to be a game changer in this story with the character growth and having a voice but alas they have reduced him to shreds. He had 0 sympathy for his son and pushed him to be with shagun when Shaurya has repeatedly said he does not love her. As a parent, you go to any lengths to stop your children from making the same mistakes as you did. It’s basic parenting nature!

Shaan needs a reality check. Shaurya has loads of emotions. To be honest, Shaurya is fiercely emotional because he has gone to extreme measures to stop Anokhi from leaving him.

Exactly, Shaan has been reduced to a nonsensical character. Even if you don’t want to go against your family values Atleast try to understand your son, damn it!!! Ahh he has become completely absurd.

Yes, Shaan as a character could be a game changer. After the divorce thing, I thought he will take a stand for his wife and his son, but no.

He thinks that he stayed alone because of Aastha and he doesn't want that for his son. But my dear Shaan, no, Aastha was all alone because you couldn't support her!

I don't understand, on one hand, he wants Aastha to return to him and on the other hand, he can't see his son's pain
