I don't really think that he has a problem with woman's education or working women as such. Just that, he does not want them in his life, because, like you said he saw a pattern. And that thinking was reinforced because of the Shagun episode. He already was prejudiced about Anokhi because of her relationship with his mother. Now that he is on the 'feels' train and that he realises that he is not the centre of her universe, he spewed the venom, which he would generally have kept in his heart. I don't think he's thought a lot about why was he so riled up with the fact that she may have chosen a back up for her.

Like you said, those beliefs are deep rooted, and when you've believed in something for 25 years, you don't just change then overnight for one person. Tbh, I'd have been disappointed had he realised what he did and went to apologise the next day. Even if he said that he was going to say sorry the next day, it was because he thought that he crossed his line in anger as her professor and lashed at her, and not because he pointed fingers at her character. The fact that he keeps reiterating that it was a chotti si baat, that she should not mind much, is very much in line with his misogynist character and that's some fair writing. It also shows that it would not be brushed under the carpet since Anokhi is still planning to go.

The fact that a 99% rising economics star is planning to leave because of his words should ring a bell somewhere. Whatever it is, the realisation will be a slow one!

Yeah, I liked him today for what he did and like others I too believe he would have done it for any other student (just that he would not barge into the committee or tear those papers or request a thank you from any other student🤣). But, Im not melting. And Im happy that the rising star (in economics or in someone's heart) is not melting either.😆

You are right, his thinking is wrong, he has a certain belief that a girl allowing a man to touch him is essentially "loose character". It is true which is why he didn't see anything wrong when Shaan confronted him and in fact felt validated when he saw Anokhi get into the car with ACP Ahir. He still thinks its a "Choti si baat" and it is still not something that he would refrain from saying if sees Anokhi with ACP or someone else again.

The makers have highlighted him brushing it off as choti si baat twice and feeling validated once, let's see where they are taking it from here. I am just so glad Anokhi is standing her ground and it is refreshing to see the FL not being a Mahaan and putting it out there that 'You' ve hurt me and I am not taking anymore of your BS'.

So let's keep his disgusting words on Monday and Tuesday aside for sometime, because if we analyse those statements, it will only disgust us 😆. So, the man called Anokhi names and bashed her in his anger and jealousy. He presented us with a hidden side to his personality and we were shocked and heartbroken , much like Anokhi currently is.

Definitely, we've talked tons about his mentality, the issues Shaurya has, so I guess no need too because we'll again start bill-phadoying on the guy 😆 Hidden toh nahi tha mere liye to be frank (Others I don't take guarantee 😎) because he was promised to be a misogynist from day 1, the reality was shown only I guess as to how far he can be ridiculous.

Now, we seem to be melting cause the man is truly acting all in love and is being adorable right now. But let's backtrack. He said ,at the episode end of Tuesday's episode, post seeing Ahir-Anokhi togther that he is happy he didn't apologise, cause she dosen't deserve it. Now, guys, this is not because of jealousy. These are his thoughts on women who come from that background. He certainly dosen't see Anokhi as a golddiger. But he has seen his own mother that ways, so he doubts her intent. He doubts that Anokhi will turn out to just use men, how his mother did. He knows she has something about her that attracts ppl to her , because he himself is very attracted. He is always insecure that men can see what he sees in her and she will just go with them cause she sees her benefit in it. This is his thinking.

One - I'm not melting as of yet, as a character its hard for him to impress me after the bs he said 😆 I think any person with dignity would behave the same way like Anokhi. I don't know about leaving the college but ignoring such people. Others ka I don't take guarantee but for me for now a big NO 🤣 He's cute, that's a given 😆 Yeah, that thought of his seeing Ahir & Anokhi annoyed me too. Dude he's not your property or girl to behave the way you want 🤪 The background exactly. His mentality is sh****. That's partially because he believes Anokhi follows Aastha too? As a mentor? Confusing aadmi 🤔 Attraction I can't say anything but he knows something about the girl is unique na? Maybe attractive for him 🤭🤭

I don't think this is debatable, cause after his father blasted on him, he still went on to spew his dirty thoughts. He told her that she complained to the right person and knows how to get her work done. If this is not ghatiya thinking, I don't really know what is. In his mind, Shagun treated him as a backup to Cambridge, if Cambridge dosen't happen - she will marry him. Here is the insecurity, root of all issues. His main issue is no one chooses him - so why should Anokhi?

Shaurya needs to understand his roots, how choti his soch is obviously & apply practical knowledge & understand he's wrong in every way. Plus at a time he's like 'Anokhi why are you taking me seriously?' & then like 'You are using people for your advantage!' WHAAATTT??? This is so off putting about Shaurya. The Shagun deal is something that was too harsh

Now why did he soften when he saw her cry? Because despite all this, his feelings still exist.

He wants all her attention, he wants to be around her and certainly wants her to smile at him - All symptoms of falling for someone. Does he realise this? - NO. The guy has a certain image of a girl in his mind, a Saberwal bahu, who is ideally supposed to be his life partner. Now, Anokhi is certainly not that girl. She's jiddi, adiyal, has a spark, and certainly wants to make a career, and he knows this. She has big dreams and will never back down from pursuing it, and he knows this too. This rejects Anokhi from being his partner. Infact, he didn't even see her as one, still dosen't. He has never felt love and dosen't know why he feels restless around her.

She has certainly taken a place in his heart which is why her thoughts, her leaving the college & her bitter words have occupied his mind to the point that he doesn't hear what others are saying 😆 Oh totally, I mean the ideal girl he had an image of is definitely not Anokhi, that's why no realisation yet. I agree, his mind is rejecting Anokhi as that image but his heart is in a constant battle 😎 Ikr, no feeling of love so no hard feelings but here he's clueless why his mind is occupied with Anokhi only.

Now coming to being proud of her topping the exams. Yes, he's extremely proud of her cause, surprise, if you didn't figure out yet, he's not against women studying . He is against them leaving him. He feels they tend to leave the man and the family for their careers. Backtrack and remember , he was happy and proud of Shagun that she got into Cambridge. He dosen't have those ego issues, that she will rise above me. He has a mindset issue, he thinks she will leave him. This is his biggest fear.

He's such a kid 🤣 Super happy for Anokhi's achievement but has to vent out his frustration on her too. The way that irrespective of being such an educated man, he still has some really low beliefs about women is beyond my understanding. Which is why they say literacy is not everything, you have to be practical.

But there is one thing that Anokhi has certainly managed to change about him- His need of someone to make him the center of their world, a typical Saberwal thinking.

No, the need is not completely changes, he still wants that, but he has a new need of making someone the center of his world. He is in a situation where his heart wants to make her the center of his entire universe. He is literally in a helpless state. He knows that he isn't the center of her universe and yet he can't help it. First of all, he needs to get over this need, this insecurity. I feel his insecurity might not fully go away, it will just be reduced over time.

Ikr? Unknowingly hi sahi he's changing in a way he couldn't have possibly thought years ago. That new need is the driving force which is sweet. Aur bhi sweet hota if he realised his crass words 😐 That's why they say the heart wants what it wants 😊 That attention he gives Anokhi, Shaurya wants it back & since he's getting nil, he's feeling helpless & taken aback. Oh yes, in other words insecurity. When Ahir would be with Anokhi, talking to her like a normal person/friend, his blood boils & that's when his mind looses the plot & he starts thinking with that ghatiya soch entrapped in his brain Will take time but he'll reach there!

To conclude, Shaurya is reedemable , only if he sees the wrong in his thinking. His beliefs and thinking is so strong that he thinks he is right. He might apologize now, but his beliefs are far more deep rooted and are certain to arise. He needs to have alot of patience and also he needs to build a high level of trust with Anokhi. Only then, will they both be happy in the long run.

That time graph irks me. He's not a kid but not sensitive & sensible enough about crossing the line with a student, which is more upsetting. I mean any person who has a sense of life wouldn't be talking the way he did. That's the whole point 🤔 Yeah that strong wall of thoughts must be brought down & I guess in the next set of episodes this belief would jump out every now & then. Just my instincts 🤪 Anokhi understanding her self respect is the best part 🤗 That girl has that dignity to maintain, baakiyoka idk 😆

Also, I'm not going to call Shaurya's need for her creepy. It's certainly cute, but it is also his instinct. He dosen't think alot when he's protecting her. It's literally his instinct. Even in his emotionally worse states (Astha's deady body identification), his instinct was to look out for Anokhi, and will always be.

Creepy toh nahi laga, just weirdly cute 🤣 He's trying hard to get Anokhi to notice him but failing 😆 A go getter I guess. I really liked how he stood with Anokhi in the dead body situation. He kbew she needed that strength but what he shoukd get rid of is that a woman always needs a man 🤬 It sucks that in today's world there are men who thinks the same..

For Anokhi , though, his dialogues were surprisingly very motivating and positive 😆. U fight for everyone, why not for urself and all that. I think I want to see a scene where she gives it back with all her might to all these evil ppl and he just sits back and enjoys the show.🤣 . And I know Anokhi is very capable of giving it back herself.🤣

Again, the hypocrisy here is he touches her the most , and also has a problem when she asks him not to. So who's the "loose character" by this logic.😵

If Aastha wanted to, she could've used Shaan as her financial support for those 25yrs but she didn't & her son is speaking of how women need men? Bruh.. 🤣

The fighting spirit & making someone fight for their rights is good but there's a breaking point for anything. Anokhi has her mind made up to leave & that's what Shaurya should comprehend. I'd like a similar scene too 🤭 Would be entertaining! Plus ofc Shaurya keliye bhi 😆

He probably didn't love Shagun enough to even care pursuing her. After reading about some curse that she gave Shaurya, I went ahead to find that scene. Her words were really powerful! She seemed to be strong woman who wanted to balance both her relationship and career. She told him that may your love never be one-sided like mines but may the woman you love not have a single characteristic to be a perfect Saberwal bahu (🤣 On the contrary, Saberwal family does not have a single quality to Anokhi's in-law family). But oh well. At that moment, I felt for Shagun - And I could just humm the song - "Ismein tera ghata..🤣 mera kuch nai jaata". They made Shagun's exit as powerful woman and it would be terribly sad to see her come back for Shaurya, kills the purpose. If she does come back, may it be to see her curse work magic as Shaurya deals with his insecurities and not negative like OG version.

Now, same might go for Anokhi. She topping the exam, being brilliant, hardworking student is just limited to his own academic institute requirement. But how comfortable would he be with the idea of Anokhi going to say Harvard to pursue her dream career? We don't know. As a man, he could follow along too - nothing wrong. I did write one scenario about it on IF a few days back. I want Anokhi to get similar opportunity to just measure how far has Shaurya come along, if at all. Shaurya was still fine with Shagun working locally in his institute, he might be open to supporting Anokhi there. Or maybe go ahead for further studies, real challenges for a woman is being able to go outside the country as idependently as man in the society. Astha's demands were not even 1% severe. She could have stayed with the family, worked and served her parents, but if they did not even agree to that what are odds for Anokhi to be able to do anything.

@bold - Shagun was supposed to be back in a year, but Shaurya didnt believe that she'd leave her career after doing PHD from Cambridge and he wasn't interested in waiting for her so long.

I dont think we will ever get a track where Anokhi is going abroad and leaving Shaurya for few years because this is ITV🤣. Anokhi ko higher studies sab Shaurya ke saath rehte rehte hi hogi...😆 But true, hoe he reacts to Anokhi leaving is what will determine his character growth.. But I doubt , once in love Anokhi will want to leave..🤣 ITV heroines lahi nahi jaati..🤣🤣

U know, yesterday I predicted that aaj ka epi me pehle Anokhi Astha ke saamne royegi and ohir raat ka ek cute Shaurya scene milega and then rustication me tp hoga..and then ShaKhi will meet...🤣 and exactly yehi hua..I feel like I am only writing the show...🤣🤣

So my new prediction is Shaurya will get resteless after knowing Anokhi is leaving, will go to Astha's house to manao her and she still wont agree. Yha tak prediction hai.

What I want to see is : Astha seeing Shaurya trying to convince Anokhi, then tells him what is wrong with Anokhi ans how badly he hurt her and that he owes her an apology. That would be a beautiful scene ❤️.

The post is beautifully penned down Aishwariya.. I don’t really have enough input to give in because you have put forward everything so brilliantly.
All I wanted to say was Shaurya really needs to build up trust. He suffers deeply from belongingness issue which if seen logically is needed to anyone and everyone as per Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory. Poor fellow has people around him but no one who understands him or hears what he really means or says. He doesn’t seem to have any friends or may I say he doesn’t have..!! He feels deprived of love and Anokhi somehow hits the right chord.

Shaurya’s always been the left out one and somehow he in his hearts of heart knows that Anokhi rips the real SS out of him, the one who’s really vulnerable and somehow this has attracted him a lot towards her. He’s completely smitten and in love but the love has no trust, hence the jealousy which is causing the never ending pain and the relationship even before progressing has collapsed. He’s not a sadist which he said and that’s for sure. He has feelings and people he cares for affects him to the deepest levels. Anokhi’s tears hurt him and his only motive which I observe these days is to make him smile.

I’m not advocating him here. I’m still not over the words he spoke but I feel he’s too scared to lose her because he doesn’t trust anyone around him and feels everyone would leave him in the middle of nowhere. Also, the day he realises the sin he’s committed by character assassinating Anokhi (which right now he feels isn’t wrong because he blinded by jealousy and possessiveness and has no clarity of his own feelings), he’s gonna regret it badly. All I want is CVs not to show him going on the self harming path or stuff like that but actually man up and agree to what wrong he has done.
